Yn ran into the house, dropped her shopping bags in her room and knocked on Tae's bedroom door.
"Come in come in whoever you aaare" Tae sang out.
Yn rushed in and Yeontan jumped up surprised, but happy to see her. Yn quickly knelt down and kissed his little face all over, nuzzling him. Tae smiled watching her, his heart feeling full. He was so glad to be able to see Yn so often, especially after the long summer without her.
"So you wanted to talk?" Tae asked huskily. He cleared his throat and patted the bed next to him. Yn sat down and in a soft whisper relayed to him that she had seen Jk walking with a big bunch of flowers. Tae rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Well Yn they could have been for anyone! Maybe they were for his mother? An aunt? A neighbour?" Tae suggested.
"Not that sort of bunch Tae....it looked more like....they were for a special someone....of romantic interest." Yn said worriedly. "Did you ask him about all the gifts after I texted you the other night?" She asked biting her lip.
"Wellll no" Tae replied, distracted by Yn nibbling on her bottom lip. "I couldn't find the right time. I will casually ask him tomorrow and see what's going on. But I'm sure there is a rational explanation." Tae assured her. "How was the decorating?" He asked looking away.

"Awesome!" Yn raved, describing the decorations to him happily. Tae watched her as she enthusiastically chatted, and reached out to stroke her hair. Yn hardly noticed and continued talking.
"Yn...tomorrow let's get our outfits for the ball?" Tae suggested.
"Oh! I already bought mine! Sorry! Jimin was going to get his shoes and he gave me a lift so -" Yn started to explain, but Tae interrupted angrily.
"Jimin?! Again?! I thought you agreed to keep away from him?!" Tae exclaimed with disbelief.
"Tae....I think.....that won't work....I can't..." Yn stated looking at Tae cautiously.
Tae exhaled deeply. "Why not?"
"Because....we're friends" Yn stated softly.
"Friends." Tae repeated skeptically. "OK. Well I'd like to talk to your new friend and ask him something. Please give him a call and put me on." He said folding his arms across his chest.
Yn blushed. "I.....erm.....I don't have his number yet" Yn mumbled, embarrassed.
Tae scoffed "I know. Because that is how he rolls. What sort of friend is he if you have not even swapped phone numbers? But you are willing to go against your true friend...your best friend's advice....for someone so reluctant to commit that he doesn't even give you his number! Did you hear what he did to Namjoon's friend Cristal?" Tae exclaimed.
"You put Namjoon up to warning me off Jimin!" Yn accused crossly, standing up and crossing her own arms over her chest.
"Did he?" Tae looked pleased. "You're being paranoid. I did not ask him that. He must have realised you're going down the same path as Cristal and is warning you. I always knew he was a good guy."
