I hissed as I felt the alcohol rinsing my wounds, before the soft dab with a cloth followed. I lay on a makeshift bed, but not that of mine, after the beating I don't really remember what happened. I remember only Eden leaving me surrounded by my people and me waking up to the same brunette tending my wounds. The wounds she caused me. I gritted my teeth, a deep groan of pain rumbling in my throat as I tried with all my might to pull my arm away from Eden's tending hands.

"Don't do that, you will only worsen it." Came her monotone voice, she gently took my arm in her hand again, even warning me before she started touching my wounds again. This is not the woman I talked to before. Why is she tending my wounds, I thought she did want me to keep them longer. Making them really burn and itch for weeks on end. I flinched a little as I was brought out of my thoughts by Eden turning away from me on her stool. As she turned back, she had exchanged the cloths for some bandages, making my eyes widen in fascination. How did she get her hands on that?! Bandages are very scarce around here and for her to be able to waste them on me….. I huffed and turned my head away, wanting my body to follow as well, but knowing that wouldn’t happen by the aching in my neck.

“You shouldn’t move.” Came Eden again with her smart remarks, her hand touching my shoulder calmly, making me snap. When did she become a tormenter and a doctor! She can rot away with her bandages, I don’t need her help! I clutched my hands, pushing myself up with my body screaming the same words as Eden had said before, but I didn’t want to listen. I want her away from me. That devil. She caused me this and now Elsa will onl- Elsa!

Ignoring my sore abdomen with some new found strength at the thought of that beautiful woman, I forced my legs to the side of the bed and help me get away from here. “Get...away...from me.” I almost growled at the woman still sitting close by, feeling her eyes follow my every move. I didn’t expect her to listen, but soon she stood from the stool, her hand finally leaving my shoulder, and walked away to a table at the other side of her tent. I watched her carefully, thinking she would fish something from the table and hurt me even more. But instead, I started to hear the brunette humming a tune as she carefully rolled the bandages up to pack them away again.

“Did you think I could have fought off that mob?” I was just positioning myself as comfortable as I could, sitting on the side of the bed with my face buried in my hands, causing me to almost miss Eden’s question. I narrowed my eyes as I looked up from my hands to glare at the burnett's back. Does she think I’m stupid, a little child needing a lesson. “Well?” Eden turned around, rubbing her hands with some alcohol to clean them off of any blood while her piercing grey eyes locked with mine.

“Stop mocking me.” I spit out, venom leaking from every word. If I did just have enough strength, I could have ended it all here. If I could just-

“I’m not mocking you, I’m just trying to explain I couldn’t do anything to prefend the beating.” Eden shrugged her shoulder nonchalant as if me ending up like this was no big deal.

I tightened my hands into fists, concentrating on my nails digging into my palm as I pushed myself up from the bed, trying to stand as tall as I could. “You could have tried to stop them!” I shouted, biting back a whimper as my throat started stinging right after, just now noticing my throat felt sore too.

The grey eyed woman started to laugh, that mocking little laugh of hers always being able to rattle deep inside my bones. “And get involved as well?” She gave me a look as if to tell me I was a fool to think like that, that I should know to keep away from helping someone in such dire circumstances as I was in.

I groaned, gripping with my hands at my hair, not caring how much it hurt. I can’t. Her way of thinking is over my head. No matter what I say, she doesn’t think like me. There is no conversing with this woman. “You were already involved!” Loud coughing followed my words, the soreness of my throat being worse than I thought. I stumbled and started to tumble, but two hands to my shoulders kept me up.
