Chapter 9 - Need No Lies

The Princess of Arendelle strolled through the corridors, gladly lifting a finger to help the servants where needed on this early morning. Their reactions all seeming the same, surprised, but not because she was there wanting to help them, no, just because she was up this early. "Anna!" The redhead was just in time to turn and watch her sister approach with such a brightness radiating off of her she had never seen. A brightness she knew she would never be able to give the blonde.

"Elsa…?" Anna said slightly hesitant, but still with a smile pulling at the corners of her lips, it growing stronger as the Queen wrapped her up in an overjoyed embrace. "What's going on?" Anna laughed softly, feeling Elsa pull away, but not before placing a loving kiss to the redhead's cheek.

"I just woke up from a wonderful dream." The blond's eyes sparkling, so intense it almost started to blind the poor princess trying so hard to figure out what had her sister acting so fulfilled. But that sparkle left and got replaced by curiosity, the Queen furrowing her brows slightly. "Wait, how did you get your head away from the pillows this early?"

"I thought I had told you yesterday…" Anna said a little hesitant, now not knowing for sure if she had told her sister anything at all. Elsa would have remembered if she had, even if she would brabble all around the actual topic, the blonde would gather all the important information. Most of the time even the things the redhead would have hoped she didn't.

"Oh, you're right, you did tell me.." Elsa, a little ashamed she had to be reminded, lifted her hand to toy with her braid, a light blush dusting her cheeks. "I guess it slipped my mind." Still the blonde tried to play it off as if there wasn't something that had made her forget, someone that filled her mind to the point anything not including those (E/C) eyes was placed to the side.

The Princess crossed her arms, her hip slightly shifting to the side as her brow raised at her sister's statement. "What's really going on, you seem to be busy hiding something."

"No no, really, it just slipped my mind." Elsa defended herself again, her eyes this time almost pleading with her sister to believe her. "It must have been all the paperwork."

Still the strawberry blonde studied the Queen closely before giving a light nod. "Well, if that's it, you should stop rushing it. You work day on end to finish in the early evening to only retreat to your room and then no one sees you till morning." Anna stepped closer to her sister and gently took the blond's cool hands in hers. "I miss you, the only times I get to talk to you is when I come to drink thee with you. But that is between your work." The Princess pouted, knowing Elsa would break under this, knowing that this could bring her closer to knowing what was really going on. Even if it was playing a little dirty.

"Oh Anna, I'm so sorry." The Queen placed her hand to her sister's cheek, softly caressing her cheekbone. "If you want we could do something right now, just the two of us." Even though the excitement was presented in the blond's eyes, the biting of her lip made it clear something on her mind made her stress about the time she was to spend with her sister.

"Elsa…" Anna stepped back with a sigh, but yet there was a soft and caring smile to her lips. "You can tell me anything, you know this." The Queen looked at her sister, hoping she wasn't implying what she thought she was, but nodding her head tentatively when seeing it was no use hiding anymore. Hiding something from Anna has always been difficult, especially after the great thaw.

"Fine, there is someone-" Before Elsa could continue, a hand to her shoulder halted her mid sentence. She watched her sister, who had her hand across her heart, a shocked yet happy face entertaining the servants passing by joined by the proud twinkling in her turquoise eyes. As the Queen took all of this in, she already knew what was about to happen. "Please Anna, not here." Elsa tried with a deep blush to her cheeks and neck, even the tops of her ears starting to glow.
