It's been two weeks since I woke up in that bed. I've been spending most of my time getting my energy back, drinking a lot of fluids; mostly water and unfortunately my doctor wouldn't let me eat any unhealthy foods. Who knew they could be so cruel.
According to Grey and Brian they have let me and Rey off the mission apparently it is now two dangerous as they don't know who knows our location.
I know it's wrong but I sort of want to go back. I want to see my..okay fine 'OUR' car again and I want to see that spectacular view from that tree and admittedly I want to eat more of Rey's food and I might even want to see some of the Chess geeks again.
I've been up on the roof of our new base for a while, it's a bit breezy up here but not too cold, I've been thinking about my mission and what happened to me and my recovery whilst watching the sun set from up here. I'm not one hundred percent better yet but I'm getting there. All or most of my senses have been dulled down or aren't as sensitive as before. The Doctor that's been helping me said that I probably won't be what I was before which I wasn't happy to hear about.
I hear a door squealing as it's opened and a boot steps out onto the roof. I turn around to see who it is, Rey. He's been showing up at random times a lot lately especially during the first week of my recovery, he would bring a board game like monopoly to my room and we would play it for hours since of course I had nothing better to do. But Rey on the other hand could have been doing anything else anywhere else but chose to play board games with me... he's confusing.
"Hey." He greets and sits down next to me.
"Hey." I reply."What are you doing up here alone?" he asks, curious.
"Thinking."
"Care to allaborate?" He adds when he relised I wasn't going to say more.
"Why should I answer your question if your not going to answer any of mine." I snap.
It's been bothering me all week, every time I asked a question he would either ignore it or come up with some distraction.
He looks a little hurt but covers it up real quick.
"It's...complicated..." he struggles to find the words. "I'll tell you some other time."
"Can't you tell me now?" I ask.
"You trust me right? I'll tell you, one day." he says quietly.
"Who said I trusted you? I barely know you." I say coldly.
"Well... friends usually trust friends. And I believe you've known me for three years." he says.
"We aren't friends."
"Really?" He says with an amused look. "Because I recall you saying I was your only good friend."
I don't remember ever saying that. In fact I would never say that. It just doesn't sound like me.
"Your making that up, Ive never said anything like that." I State.
"You have. When I was getting you out of the cabin." He says. Thats the moment when I know he lied to me.
"I thought you said I was unconscious!" I say sharply.
His eyes widen in realisation.
"Oops." he says under his breath."Why would you lie to me about that? That was one of the most dangerous situations I've ever been in and you didn't tell me I was conscious?!" I say angrily.
"I...I don't know." He mumbles. "I'm sorry...I guess I just felt a little guilty..." He says.
Guilty? Guilty for what? He has no reason to feel guilt, it was my fault I wasn't on guard enough. It was my own fault for getting kidnapped.
