Chapter 13

DAY 5 OF HIGH SCHOOL / THE PARTY
Today was the day of the party. I wonder if Jason's going. I doubt it.

Me and Rey are at school and everyone seems more tired and less energetic but more excited than they did on Monday.

At Lunch the library was closed for renovation and so I went with Jason outside to a giant tree technically on school grounds were the rest of the chess club where hanging out. Everyone is sitting on the grass in the shade of the tree.
"Hey guys, what's up?"
"Hey Angel." All of them say in sad voices. Its almost creepy how in-sync they where. I guess they're still upset about the whole disqualified thing but it did only happen about a day ago.
"Guys, Angels here to help us." Jason says to the depressed people on the grass.
"Help with what? We are perfectly happy." says one of them who I think is Dave, I sort of learnt some of their names but I get confused cause they're all so alike. He is the sarcastic one.
"I'm here to help you with a revenge plan so get all of your sad asses up and let's get started!" I say slightly irritated about how bad they're taking this.
"Revenge? No no no! We don't do 'revenge'" the one called Steve said, he is the logical smart one. In other words......the kill joy.
"So what are you gonna do? You just gonna mope around all day feeling sorry for yourselfs?" I protest.
"I don't know, we do the moping thing pretty well maybe we should stick with it." Dave says in a dull voice.
"C'mon guys your better than this!If your so damn upset about it take action and do something!!!" I persist. All I get is a few lazy mumbles so I continue. "Guys! You can't just let them push you around like that! Take a stand! Show them they messed with the wrong chess team!!!" Ok so that didn't come out as threatening as I wanted it to but I'm still on a roll. "If you don't they will just keep doing this to you!"
After my uplifting speech they seemed to agree that they had to do something that wasn't moping or being Lazy in general.

"Ok good!" I say "So here's the plan."

I spend the rest of lunch time explaining to them my plan but they all decided it was too discrete they wanted something more straight forward so I had to change my plan completely and they all seem pumped about it so it's all good.

By the end of school everyone is talking about the party tonight, apparently it's the first party in a while.

Me and Rey are at home and I'm chilling on the couch when Rey walks in.
"Aren't you sapposed to be getting ready for the party tonight? You are going right?" he asks.
"Yeah... I'm going like this." I say pointing down at my self and saying it like it's the most obvious thing ever.
"You can't go to the party wearing that!"

Hey! what's wrong with my black jeans and T?

"Since when were you on the fashion police?" I say.
"Seriously Angel, I saw a kid get so dissed today just for wearing the same shirt he did two days ago!" he tells me "They can be brutal!"
"Fine, what do you suggest I wear huh?enlighten me." I say.
"A dress?" he asks but as soon as he sees the look on my face he immediately regrets it.
"F*ck no!" I say outraged." Do I look like I own a dress to you?"
"Ok ok, thats what I thought which is why..." he says and pulls out a shopping bag out of nowhere. "Natasha got you this." he hands it to me.
"what?...is this?" I say pulling out a Frock and Frill Embellished Dress With a Drop Waist.
Rey just smiles and says "Your new dress for the party."

After a lot of arguing, and I mean a lot, I went upstairs to put on the dress when I come back down stairs Rey is staring at me wide eyed. Then I realise this is the first time pol I've worn anything that even remotely showed my bare legs, in front of him.
"If your eyes get any bigger, I swear they will explode." I say.
He composes his face and tries to play it off cool.
"Let's go." he says "I'll drive."
"Oooh No, no no no! You are N.O.T driving my baby!" I almost shout.
He turns around to give me a weird look.
"What? It's my dream car ok?." I snap and take the keys out of his hands and go to the garage where the car is.

We arrive a little early yet the house looks packed already. Wow people where really looking forward to this party.

We stand by the door and ring the doorbell we are greeted by a very smiley Natasha.
"HEY GUYS! SO GLAD YOU MADE IT!" she had to shout over the music and then she hugs us both like we're best pals or something. "COME ON IN!!!" we walk in and she closes the door. I didn't know it was possible but the music is even louder now.
"OMG ANGEL!!!YOU LOOK GREAT IN THAT DRESS!!!! OH AND ITS YOURS BY THE WAY YOU CAN TOATS KEEP IT!!!"
She shouts.
"THANKS!" I shout back.
"OK, SO OVER THERE YOU CAN GET DRINKS!!" she says pointing toward the kitchen of her large house. "OVER THERE YOU CAN DANCE!!!AND OVER THERE, THERE AND THERE ARE CLOSETS YOU CAN MAKEOUT WITH SOMEONE IN!!" she shouts pointing to different sections of the house.
"NICE TO KNOW!" Rey shouts at Tasha with a wink. What a flirt.

Natasha leaves us for her own business to take care of. Rey also leaves to find Sophie and her jock friends. So I'm left here.....standing.....alone.

I head to the back yard where there is a pool and dancing teens. It's still early so no one is drunk yet but I can see people with drinks in their hands so it won't be long. I on the other hand won't be drinking, I need my brain sharp and alert at all times.

"ANGEL!!! HEY!" I hear someone shouting from behind me I turn around to see Tristen.
"Oh hi Tristen, how's the nose?" I greet then point at his nose discreetly.
"Oh yeah," he says touching his nose "much better thanks." since we are outside the music isn't as loud and we don't have to shout. "You look great!" he says looking me up and down which makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.
"Thanks." I say flatly. "So you live here?"
"Yeah it's just me my sister and our parents."
"Cool." I didn't have anything else to say.
"You want me to get you a drink?" he asks, I think he's trying to get me drunk.
"No, I'm good thanks." I don't want to really talk to him anymore so I come up with an excuse. "You know what, I was meant to meet my friend inside so I'll talk to you later." I say.
"I can come with you?" he suggests.
"No it's fine go have fun!" I say in a fake cheery voice.
"Ok." he seems disappointed then he walks away and I roll my eyes. He is so pathetic, he couldn't even face a freakin chess team so he got them disqualified.

I walk inside and around a few corners for the next few hours guys come up to me and ask me to dance and I say yes.What? I have nothing better to do and it's my first high school party might as well have fun. I get a bit tired to I go looking around the house and go upstairs. I walk towards a door hoping it's the bathroom and open it. Instead I see a four poster bed and two people making out on it. They both look up.

"Sorry." I quickly say... wait..... is that? Rey and Sophie. Didn't see that one coming. I shut the door and go back down stairs.
Well..... he is doing this whole befriending her thing Great....he's already getting that close to her and it's only been 5 days.

I walk down stairs and everyone is so wasted. That's when a random guy gets all up in my face, he is way to close. Recognise him.... it's Aaron that douch from lunch who can't take a hint.
"Hey babe, I see you made it!" he's drunk I can smell the alcohol stench so I step back. He started getting closer and I continue stepping backwards until I feel a cold wall on my back. He corners me.
"It's nice to see ya agian. But next time I would like to see you with a little less of this." he says touching my dress. I would love to kick his ass right now, I could and would but it would be out of character and people would suspect something. He gets even closer and is an inch from kissing me then out of nowhere I see Rey pull him off me and hold his collar.
"What the hell do you think your doing!!!" he threatens.
"Chill dude, why dyu have to ruin it? I was about to get some." Then Rey's fist goes flying and connects with Aaron's face.

"C'mon we are leaving!" he says facing me, grabbing me by the arm and pulling me out the front door before anyone noticed.
