DAY 2 OF HIGH SCHOOL
I wake up this morning feeling refreshed, I went to bed a little earlier than usual which is probably why I'm feeling so awake.I look at my clock.
6:00
Wow, I woke up so early today. I consider going to back sleep but decide to fit in some training instead. It turns out that this house has a basement and Brian was kind enough to set up a training room for us.
I get out of bed and get changed in my training clothes. I go down stairs and go around to face the side of the stairs where there is a door leading to more stairs that lead to the basement. Its not as long a trip as it might sound.
I find Rey in there, practicing his aim with some small blades. He seems a really off center and a bit stressed.
"You need to work on you aim." I comment
My sudden voice caused him to completely miss the bulls eye, the intire target in general when he threw it. He wips around to face me.
"Do NOT sneek up on me like that! How long have you been standing there?" he says angrily.
"Not long, I just got here and I wasn't sneeking up on you I went down the stairs like I normally do." I reply calmly.
"My aim is fine" he says randomly while I go pick up some of my own blades from the rack.
"No it isn't , if you were aiming for a person it would proberly just make their death unnecessarly longer not to mention a person moves too, so that would mean you could possibly miss them entirely and they would obviously notice leading them to being more careful and making your job alot harder." I retort.
"Okay fine, im a little out of practice, if its so easy you try it then big shot!" he almost shouts. Who put the stick up his ass?
"Fine!"
We swap places, I stand where he was standing and he stands where I was standing.
ok, focus...
I look at the bulls eye and aim....throw. It land right in the middle.
I look at Rey and smirk but he looks kinda pissed.
"How do you do that?" he asks still pissed.
"Stay calm ,focus and aim" I sound like such a pro, which I am.
"Could you... teach me..." he struggles to ask.
What, me? Teach him? That makes no sense, hes almost had as much training as I have. What is going on with him? hes acting so... different.
"uumm, Okay?" I say it like a question. Then he gives me this look like 'Don't ask' well... thats weird.
He walks over to me and takes one of the blades I'm holding out of my hand.
"What do I do?"
"um...you hold it like this." I demonstrate using my own hands.
"Okay, then?" he says after repeating what I did.
"Clear your mind, focus."
"Focus..." he says trying to follow my instructions.
"And aim" I say. He takes a few seconds to calm himself and aim then he throws. Not in the middle but close.
"Thats better than before." he says slightly proud.
"But it could be even better if..." I say whilst slowly taking his wrist in my hand and positioning it for him. I give him another blade.
