Chapter 11

DAY 4 OF HIGH SCHOOL

It's lunch time and I'm making my way to the library. Today I have a special request for the librarian.
I walk in and go straight to the front desk.
"Good afternoon Kealy." I greet.
"Good afternoon Angel." she says back.
I look around and I can't find Lizzy.
"It's Lizzy's day off." Kealy tells me.
"Oh ok, we'll I was wondering if you had the book of dreams here?" She looks at me strangly.
"Yes, I do." She bends down and I can't see her until she pulls out a large book with the title 'BOOK OF DREAMS'.
"May I please borrow it?"
"Yes, sure. I will check it out for you."

after checking it out she asks
"What do you need it for?"
Should I tell her?
"Well... I've been having weird dreams and my cousin suggested I get this book."

--FLASH BACK--

Rey was still on top of me pinning me to the ground and I wasn't sure how too answer his question.
"Are you afraid you like me?"
"No.....yes.....maybe, I don't know!" Never have I ever been so confused and unsure of something.
Then he gets off me and sits down.
I enter a sitting position too and hold my knees in my arms.
"I'm guessing from your reaction you've never had a dream like that before." he says calmly.
"And you have?" I reply.
"A couple times" he tells me.
"About?"
He seemed to blush a bit then after few seconds
"You." He had admitted.

He dreams about me?The way I accidentally dreamt about him last night. This is getting weird, we can hardly stand each other so why are we having dreams like that about each other ?It doesn't make any sense, cause I know I don't like him.

We stay silent for some time, thinking.

"The book of dreams!" We both say at the same time.

--END OF FLASH BACK--

"Ok it will keep it here for you but for now you have some books to arrange." she gives me a box of books and they are all for the middle of the library where Jason usually is.

I get there and see Jason impatiently tapping his fingers on the wooden table in front of him. As soon as he sees me he rushes over and starts apologising.
"Angel, I'm so so sorry. I shouldn't have done that in front of you. I just let my anger get the best of me and I should have handled that better. I wa-"
"Jason, calm down." I interrupt, he takes a deep breath in and out. "Its ok, unless you have a good reason."
"Trust me, I have a better than good reason." he says angrily but he's not angry at me, he's angry at Tristen.

We go sit down in the reading area and he explains to me what happened.
"Me and and Tristen are huge rivals he is captain of his schools chess team and we're having a competition soon. Whilst me and the chess team where out, they snuck into the school to our chess team room and rigged our chess tables," he found it hard to continue "He and his chess team put magnets under our chess tables to make it look like we cheat. Then we got disqualified." he says by now he's red with rage.

If I help him out, I can gain some major trust points. I smile internally.This could be good for the mission and I know a few things about revenge.
"How bout I help you with a little pay back plan?" I suggest with an evil glint in my eye.
"I'm not sure if my team can pull that of..." he says slowly.
"C'mon Jay, you gotta have a little faith." I persuade.
"I'm not sure about this..."
"Jay you gotta live a little. Life is not all about spending all your time reading and playing chess... it will be fun..." I encourage.
"Ok fine, YOLO right?" he says reluctantly. I put on a mischievous smile.

--AT HOME--

Rey has been invited to Sophie's house today so he didn't come back home with me but it's a good sign, everything must be going to plan.

I go upstairs to my room and sit on the bed. I pull out The Book Of Dreams and flip the paper straight to the contents page.

I flip all the pages till I get to the letter K.

Kiss - To dream of Kissing may be pleasant enough while it lasts, but indicates that in waking hours there will be arguments.

That is ..... surprisingly accurate.
