I wonder if they really care about us. I mean it's always just been Lucas and me against the world. It was us against Emily and Ronald. Us against the people who they would bring home. Us against the kids in school who would ignore us. Us against the injuries, the hunger, the abuse, the insults and the torture. If one of us ever felt even the slightest bit down the other was there to support them. Anything that happened we had each other's backs and were the other ones whole support system. Heck forget support system we were like one of the other's vital organs or something. Their other vital half. We needed each other. He was my twin, brother and best friend and I was his twin, sister and best friend. We were and are each other's everything.

But the thing is, can we let these new people in to let them be our support system or maybe more than that. I mean they are seemingly our brothers from everything we can tell. I don't know if we're still doing the DNA test. I left that up to Lu to decide. We both think they are our brothers but it's nice to have proof.

I think it's okay to try to stay here and try to build something. If they do something however mafia or not we're gone. We can't do that again. I don't think I can go through it again in any sense mentally or physically and I don't think Luke can stand to see me go through it again.

I snap out of my thoughts when Lu starts to get up, me with him. I guess we're heading to this medical room of theirs. I can faintly hear the younger boys who were told they couldn't come grumbling as they themselves exited and went somewhere else.

We start walking through some hallways and we make it to a staircase. We walk up until we are on this more isolated and differently furnished area of the third floor. It looked like there were maybe fifteenish rooms and this part of the floor looks more clean cut and business like.

Throughout the walk I leaned on Lu more and more as my injuries began to hurt more from the movement. Lu didn't say anything just accepted the weight and helped me walk. Christian and Vincent were leading the way but they seemed to be going slower for our or more like my case. Diego was walking next to us just observing. I think he was also worried that I might fall or something and take Lu with me. He probably wanted to be the catcher.

We reach this medical room after walking down a hallway of the maybe around fifteen doors. We stop at the door and Christian opens it and allows everyone else in first and then he follows closing the door.

I look around the room and I notice the many clear cabinets seemingly filled with medical supplies and a cart or two and some jars and containers filled with things laid out on the counter. There are a couple of IV poles in the corner along with a mini fridge which I'm assuming holds certain medicines that need to be kept cold, ice packs and maybe water and food. Along with a couple semi-comfortable looking chairs and a rolling stool kept by the wall.

In the back of the room close to the corner but with enough room for maybe two people to stand between it and the wall is a twin size bed. It has some comfy sheets and a couple of pillows as well.

I'm snapped out of my observations as Vincent speaks. "So this is our medical room for the house. We have a headquarters that is better equipped but this is our home one in case something happens to someone here or we are closer." I nod accepting this as does Luke. It makes sense since they are mafia they are bound to get hurt and if they have a doctor on the premises why not be prepared.
