Chapter Thirty Nine

Since their talk with past Avatars, the two discovered that the island they were on was a giant lion turtle, right now they were on its paw facing the magnificent beast "maybe you can help us" Aang says to the turtle as he bows to the turtle "everyone says that we have to kill the fire lord, but we don't know if we can do it" Cara says to the lion turtle.

"The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost, the true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed, since beginning-less time, Darkness thrives in the void, but always used to purifying light" the lion turtle says as he reached his large hand onto Aang, touching his four head and chest a bright green light flashing before it ended "what happened?" Cara asked worried and Aang turned to her and smiled "we have a way to defeat the fire lord, without killing him" Cara smiled as the lion turtle led them a shore "wait for him, he will come" he said before leaving.

The children waited on top of a tall rock, as the hours last by, Cara got more nervous and scared "Aang, what if we don't make it?" she asked her friend who pulled her in to a soft hug "we will make it, because we're ready to face him" he said bravely as Cara too ka deep breath "the truth is I'm terrified, I don't want to die, not yet" Cara began to form tears in her eyes "oh look at me now, I'm crying like a baby" she laughed sadly.

"you're not a baby, your just scared, I may not show it, but I'm scared to, but I know we'll be fine, because we have each other" Cara smiled lightly a she wiped her tears away.

The sky was getting red and in the distance Aang could see several air ships approaching "momo its time for you to go" Aang said standing up, momo flew off and Aang helped Cara up as she jumped to the next rock column, Aang breathed in deeply as he sent big rock slabs towards the main airship, damaging its engine and killing it with one final blow from a wave of flame.

The attack caused the airship to crash, but the fire lord jumped out and went on a rock column opposite the two Avatars " after generations of Fire Lords failed to find you, now the universe delivers not one but two Avatars to me as an act of Providence" Ozai says menacingly causing Cara to shake slightly at the tone of his voice "please listen to me, we don't have to fight, you have the power to end it here and stop what you're doing" Aang tried to settle the fight peacefully but the fire lord didn't have any intention of things ending peacefully.

"your right, i do have the power, I have all the power in the world!" Ozai screamed/ rawed making massive amounts of Fire come from his fists and mouth.

Aang and Cara got into their fighting stance as Ozai sent a wave of fire at them, they both jumped up, dodging the wave, Aang sent a blast of fire at Ozai while Cara tried to subdue him with a blast of air, which he just doged and launched a blast of fire at them, Aang sent his own fire at Ozai while Cara focused and bended the fire around her.

The two knew attacking head on was basically a death wish so they continued to dodge Ozai's attacks and try to get a lucky hit in with earth and air, the only thing is, Ozai doged and blocked everything they did, the two were successful at dodging his attacks untill the fire lord got a lucky his on Cara, sending her down the ground, before Aang could do anything about it, he got hit into a rock wall and groaned as he landed.

Ozai then went next to him and began attacking again Aang surrounded himself in a suit rock at Ozai kept fire blasting him untill Anag could get away again.

Cara groaned as she held her head, she soon refocused and when she did, Aang was falling out of the sky, she rushed to catch him, which she did as they both landed in the water.

Before they could say anything to wah other, Ozai was on them again firing fire ball after fireball at them, they quickly went to some land, were Aang encased them in a ball of rock, making Ozai laugh "you're both pathetic weaklings! Just like the rest of the air nomads, bed not deserve to exist in this world, in my world!" Ozai yelled walking up to rock ball "prepare to join them prepare to die!" he then hit the rock with a burst of fire making the inside very hot and unbearable to keep in.

" you can't hide in there forever!" Ozai yelled launching another wave of fire at the ball, Ozai then sent a fire bomb at it making the ball break, and sending both Anag and Cara into a wall, but that turned out to be the best thing to happen ever.

A pointy part of the rock hit Aang in the right place to realign his 7th chukra, granting him access to the Avatar state "come on out, children, you're about to be-" Ozai then groaned a little as Aang grabbed his beard, emerging from the rock, his eyes and arrow glowing blue, Cara along with him, in her Avatar state.

Ozai attempted to blow fire in their faces but Aang deflected it, making it all go into the air, Ozai then looked back to the children as Cara sent him tumbling across the ground.

Ozai got up and saw both children surrounded in an air bubble, Aang surrounded his with all the elements while Cara surrounded her sled in circles of wind and water.

For once in his life, Ozai felt fear as the two went at him at full speed, they laughed him through various rocks before he started to run away, dodging all of their attacks best he could.

The two Avatars then sent wave after wave of element based attacks untill they finally caught him, slamming him onto a high rock formation, the two landed, Aang binded him in Rock.

"fire lord Ozai, you and your forefathers have devastated the balance of this world, and now, you shall pay the ultimate price" the two said in an otherworldly voice, as they both began to send a wave of elements at him, but before they reach Ozai they stopped letting the elements fall.

"we're not gonna end it like this" Aang says as the fire lord was on his hands and knees "even with all the power in the world, your both still weak" he spat before attempting to attack them, they both sensed this and Aang made a rock pillar sending his attack into air once again.

Aang binded the fire lord and made him go on his knees, in a last desperate attempt Ozai tried to kill them with fire breath but it was useless, Aang then places his hands on the fire lords chest and four head, his head tilted back as blue light shined from him, soon an orange light emitted form the fire lord.

Another blue light shot into the sky and Aang let go of the fire lord, a little tired as Cara helped him stand "what? What did you do to me?" Ozai asked Aang as he layed on the floor.

"I took your fire bending away, you can't use it to her or threaten anyone else ever again" Aang says, the two Avatars then put out the fire that the fire lord started, as they smiled to each other knowing that finally, the war was over.
