chapter six

Team Avatar are in the desert and a sand storm has picked up, Aang is mad with Toph over Appa.

Caras pov

I still couldn't see, but I didn't want to Aang has being angry and I understand but it wasn't Tophs fault.

"How could you let them take Appa? Why didn't you stop them?"

"Aang she couldn't of, she was saving you guys from being lost forever" I said defending Toph

"You could've come to get us, I could of saved him!"

"I can hardly feel any vibrations out here, Cara is fully blind and the sand benders snuck up on me and there wasn't time for-"

"You just didn't care! You never liked Appa! You wanted him gone" Aang said harshly.

I've never heard Aang like this, it was scary "Aang, p please stop" I said nearly crying.

"Toph did all she could, she saved our lives" Katara said "who's gonna save our lives now? We'll never make it out of here" Sokka said

"That's all any of you guys care about, yourselves, you don't care whether Appa is ok or not" how could he say that.

I let go of Toph and followed Aangs voice and I think I stood infront of him "how dare you, you know that we love Appa, you certainly know I do, and you know what I'm beginning to see you as a petulant child not an Avatar, so grow up and we will find Appa Don't you worry" I said aggressively to him, I couldn't see his face but I could tell that all I said just didn't get in his head.

"We can't afford to be fighting, now" Katara said trying to defuse the situation.

"I'm going after Appa" I heard Aang take off "Aang wait"

"Leave him, he'll come to his senses later, now Toph were are you?" I said trying to find Toph

She came to me and I held her arm "are you ok?" I asked her

"No, I lost Appa and Aang hates me" I held her cheek "no you didn't lose Appa, he was taken and you tried your best to save him" I felt her hand on mine "thanks water spout, you always know how to cheer me up"

I smile at her "come you two we need to get to Ba Sing Se"

We began walking.

We had being walking for some amount of time and I was really hot, I accidentally bumped into Sokka "Can't you watch where you're -"

"No" I said plainly "right, sorry"

"Yeah you better be" I said harshly

"Come on guys we've gotta stick together" Katara said trying to carry the team

"Its so hot, I can't even hold Tophs arm to guide me without sticking to her"

"Katara can I have some water" Toph said I was worried about her, she has barely said anything since Aang took off.

"Ok, but we've gotta try to conserve it"

Katara brought out some water and I had a glimpse of vision untill we drank the water.

"Ugh this tastes like mud, wait this is your bending water"

"You used this on the swamp guy! Ugh!" Theres Sokka overreacting

"It does taste swampy" I wanted to be close to Toph so I held her hand.

"I'm sorry its all we have"

"Not anymore, look!"

"For the last time, I can't see!" I yelled

"Sokka wait you shouldn't be eating strange plants" Katara said while grabbing mine and Tophs hands running over to Sokka.
