The Lost Otsutsuki part 2

Part 1

"Thought I'd find you here!"
Mayumi climbed on the tree Akari was sitting on.
"What's with you and trees anyway? Can't you just lay on bed or be a drama queen at the bar with some nice drinks?"
Akari smiled.
"I like the view from here. Also those trees are alive!" She chuckled.
"You're weird." Mayumi fixed her clothes and took a deep breath. "Wow, the view really is awesome!"
"Right?" Akari lifted her hand up, like she was about to touch the moon. "It's so bright tonight."
Mayumi was knocking her fingernails on the tree.
The sound mixed horribly with the night. Akari was irritated.
"Stop it, will ya?!" She snapped.
"Oh, right."
Akari closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"You know, you sounded just like him right now.." Mayumi smiled. Akari didn't respond. "Are you nervous about the ceremony?"
"I'm not sure how I feel."
"You don't want it, right?"
"Right, I don't. I'm not the one." Akari looked back at the moon.
"You're the one he chose."
"Well, he was wrong this time."

Mayumi couldn't bring herself to say anything else. She lit up a cigarette and leaned her back on the tree.
"Just promise me you won't run."
Akari chuckled.
"I won't, but I'm not happy about it either. Girls gotta do what girls gotta do, right?"
"That's my big titty-goddess!"
"I won't let you call me embarrassing names like that anymore!"
"I won't obey, tits!"
Akari sighed.
"Fine, whatever.. it's late so I guess I'll see you tomorrow."
"Yea, take a good rest. And Akari.. you'll be okay!"
"Goodnight, Mayumi!" Akari leaned back with open arms and disappeared into the thin air before she hit the ground. Mayumi smiled.
"What a show off!"

Flashback:

Akari looked to her side. Naruto was sleeping peacefully, but she couldn't rest.
Isshiki Ōtsutsuki..
She touched Narutos face gently. He looked beautiful with his blonde eyelashes resting on his cheeks.
"Can't sleep?" He mumbled
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you."
"No, I wasn't sleeping." He yawned and put his head on Akaris chest. "Better than the pillow."
Akari smiled and ran her fingers through his hair.
"Sleep now..."

Isshiki Ōtsutsuki. Who is he?
Why does Kaguya fear him? She was strong enough to cause a war. Akari couldn't imagine the things this Isshiki could do.
She sneaked out of the bed and got dressed.
The moon was bright that night.
She stepped outside and opened a rift.

"Ōtsutsuki Akari..." the man smiled.
"You must be Toneri.." Akari stepped forward.
"You shouldn't be afraid of me, cousin."
"I'm not." she sat next to him and looked at the earth.
"How does it look?"
"It looks beautiful."
"What brings you here?" Toneri asked calmly.
"How do I kill an Ōtsutsuki?"
"You can't." He smiled. "We aren't just some things you can kill. The only way is to seal us or obtain our power." He looked at Akari with his empty eyes. They looked terrifying. "Are you strong enough, Ōtsutsuki Akari?"
"I don't know."
"Give it up while you still can."
"That's something I can't do!" She sighed. "I can't let this Isshiki guy hurt my friends."
"Isshiki's alive?"
"Who is he anyway? Why does everyone fear him that much?!"
"I'll tell you one thing, dear cousin!" He smiled like a maniac to her face. "If you were a smart girl you'd be running away right now! Your friends won't be worth anything when he comes to get what he wants! Now, get out of here and forget you ever met me!" He got up and walked away.
"What?!" Akari followed and grabbed his arm. "Wait! You haven't answered my question yet!"
"The one who kills the god, can't remain a normal human anymore. If it gets to that point, have mercy on them and do it yourself.. only if you live that long!"
Akari stood there, confused and watched him walk away.

She got back home. It was morning already. Naruto waved with a toothbrush in his mouth.
She couldn't shake these thoughs.
She poured some coffee and sat on the kitchen counter. Naruto gave her a kiss and sipped her coffee.
"Early morning run?" He asked, making breakfast.
"Yea.." she made some coffee for him. "Actually no."
"Huh?"
"I don't want to lie to you."
Naruto put down the bowl and turned to face her.
"I went to see Toneri."
"What?!"
"I had to ask him something, but the moment he heard the name Isshiki he ran like a scared stray dog. Who is that guy anyway?!"
"Our strongest enemies are scared of him.. this is bad."
"What do you think we should do next?"
"We have to discuss that on a meeting and gather information." Akari hugged him. "What's that about?"
"I'm just worried."
"Everything will be just fine, love." He smiled and gave her a kiss.

Akari stepped out of the rift with Sasuke.
This place gave her chills.
"I hoped I wouldn't come back here"
"Don't worry, we'll leave soon."

"I see you've failed." Kaguya appeared in front of Akari. She stepped back. Akari saw her reflection in Kaguyas white eyes.
"Failed?! You forced me to destroy my village!"
"I helped you!"
"Stay away from her!" Sasuke put his sword between them. Kaguya stepped back.
"You had the chance to become stronger... "
"I don't need the Divine tree for that!"
"You will."
"Who's Isshiki?!"
"The end of everything."
"Cut the crap!" Akari stepped forward and looked her in the eyes. "What makes you so scared of him?"
"You'll see when the time comes."
"She won't talk.." Sasuke pulled away his sword. "Do it, Akari."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Do what?" Kaguya looked confused.
"I have the same damn blood as you, remember?" Akari shoved her hand into Kaguyas chest.

Naruto and Ogen carried Akari to bed. She was trembling.
"Sis, just tell me you're okay!"
"It's okay, Ogen. I can take it. Give it some time." The vains under her skin were glowing.
"Akari.."
"Don't look at me like that, Naruto. I'm not planning to die today."
"Silly.. " he sat next to her. "I just hope I don't regret letting you do that."
"It was my choice, remember?" Naruto nodded and wrapped his arms around her.
"Just breathe."

Present time:

"There are so many of them.." Akari looked at the people gathered outside. It was cloudy and chilly. "I don't want to let them down."
"You'll do just fine." Konohamaru held her hand.
"Thank you, kid." Akari touched his face. "If you ever leave my side, I'll kill you."
"Haha, I won't, I promise !"
"Okay, there goes nothing."

Akari took a deep breath and stepped out. The people were cheering, but all she could hear was her heartbeat. Kosuke gave her a smile.
"I can do this."
She stood in front of Kakashi.
"You okay, kid?" He asked whispering.
"Not really. I feel like throwing up!"
"We have to.."
"Yeah, I know.. I just wish.."
"Me too.. Akari, I believe in you."
She nodded.
All she could hear was buzzing and cheering sounds mixed with her heartbeat. She closed her eyes as Kakashi covered her shoulders with a white cloak.
"Congratulations, Lady Hokage!"
