Present time, after Kosukes' wedding:

Sasuke walked into Akaris' office.
"You wanted to see me?"
There was little Naruka sitting on Akaris desk, playing with the papers. Akari smiled at him.
"Oh, hey Sasuke! I wasn't expecting you just yet!"
"Isn't that Kakashis' kid?" He looked down on her.
"Hi, uncle Sasugay!" She waved at him. He gasped.
Akari couldn't help but laugh.
"Treats you right!"
"You'll regret calling me that, brat." He looked away.
"Okay, don't cry.. " she smiled and pulled on his black clothes. Sasuke felt embarrassed.
"I'm not crying! You're just annoying!"
"Okay, I get it, uncle Sasugay..."
"Akari, aren't you going to stop her?!"

Akari was covering her face, laughing like crazy.
"Okay, okay!" She patted Narukas head. "I have to talk to Sasugay in private. Go, find mommy. I'll meet with you soon, kiddo. Okay?"
"Okay!" She nodded and ran outside.

Sasuke looked embarrassed. Akari sat on her desk and smiled.
"A shadow Hokage... I can't believe a 3 year old girl defeated you just now.."
"Shut up.." he hissed. "Why did you want to see me?"

Akari took a deep breath and looked him straight in the eyes.
"Isshiki attacked me yesterday."
"What?!" He nearly screamed.
"He threatened to kill everyone at the wedding so I had no other choice but to fight him alone in one of my dimensions."
"You should've told me.." he said in his usual calm voice.
"Why? Are you worried about me?" She smirked.
Sasuke didn't want to admit, but he was. Akari wasn't a girl he threatened to kill years ago, She had become like a family to everyone. "Anyway.. the seal has been broken and I felt it right away, but I needed to be sure."
"Did he hurt you?" He mumbled.
"It was just a scratch. He doesn't have the power to kill me yet.. but he will do that eventually."
"There's something you're not telling me.."

He was right. Akari hadn't told anyone about the deal with Orochimaru. She didn't know how Sasuke would react. How could she ask her friends to make a choice between her and Naruto?! She had to decide for herself, but she needed Sasukes help.
She got closer and touched his shoulder gently, teleporting them far from the Hokages office, near the lake in the woods.
"So I was right.." said Sasuke.
"I can't let anyone know about this." She looked away and remembered a body floating in the blue liquid. "There's a way to bring him back, Sasuke."
He gasped.
"Naruto?!"
"Yes... it's like he hasn't left. He's chakra is locked inside my body" she touched her white kimono on her chest. "Orochimaru has created a body for him and we can transfer his chakra into it, but we need you to perform rinne rebirh jutsu. Can you do it?"
Sasuke stared straight to her face.
"You're a jinchuriki now. You'll die if the tailed beast is extracted."
"I know and I'm okay with it."
"You're committing a suicide with a ridiculous reason."

Akari froze. She wasn't expecting for that kind of response. He didn't expect Sasuke to get that angry.
"You call that ridiculous?! it's Naruto we're talking about.."
"Leave me out of it." He turned away and left.
Akari was speechless. If he didn't agree She would have to live this miserably for the rest of her days. She would have to watch everyone move on.
The chance of everything being okay again faded as she watched Sasuke walk away. She ran after him.

"Stop!" She raised her voice. "I will not let you take this chance away from me. Even if I have to fight you to make you do it, I will bring him back!"
"You've lost your mind."
"I have!" She grabbed his arm. "All I need you to do is keep this secret and help me bring him back." He avoided looking at her. "Isn't Narutos' life that precious to you? Stop lying to yourself, you never cared about me! Weren't you the guy who promised to kill me?!"
He pushed her against the tree.
"I'm not that guy anymore!" Sasuke screamed to her face. She looked away, ashamed.
"I told you the deal was off.. back then I didn't understand why was everyone so obsessed with you. You were just an enemy for me. But not anymore. I promised Naruto I'd keep you safe."
