"What is going on?" Soyeon began walking down the hall, real quick. "Ah Hui. It's been a while."

Hui's lips cracked into a devious smirk. "Jeon. So. Yeon."

"I thought you were locked away forever and had a travel ban." Soyeon folded her arms across her chest.

"Where do you think the money of your club goes to?" Hui chuckled.

Soyeon eyed Soojin before returning her attention back to the cocky, nonchalant Hui. "Not to a filthy criminal like yourself."

"We all walk the same road, Soyeon. At one point, we were all close." Hui put his hands into his fur-hooded jacket. "That was until you tried to turn Soojin. But, her loyalty and money lies with me."

"You're a bitch, you know that?" Soyeon snarled.

Soojin sucked her teeth. "Guys... let's stop before a few more people jump in on this charade."

Hui slapped Soojin across her face. "You shut the hell up." He stood over her as she began kneeling. I had an instinct to do something. I knew I was not powerful. Soyeon took out her gun. "If we start something. It's all your fault."

Soyeon aimed the gun at his head. Hui pushed Soyeon down and the gun went off.

I've never been inside of a police station before. The lazy drawl of the officers was complimented by the air humidifier humming in the background. I sat playing with my empty cup of ramen. Soojin sat beside me to my surprise. It made me even more nervous. She looked irritated.

Hui had made an escape unfortunately. He had tumbled out the window after getting shot in the shoulder. Come to think of it, I never saw a man run from getting shot.

Soyeon's gun was in a plastic bag that was being inspected by the authorities. She was sitting down with her manicured hands atop her lap. Yuqi and Minnie were already notified to bring any bail money if Soyeon was arrested.

The translator had arrived. He looked frantic and as if he had just walked out of a bar. After being exposed to the club life, I could tell when someone is drunk off their ass. I felt my knees beginning to bounce out of anxiety. How the hell was I always in some shit?

Soojin put her hand on my knee. I oddly felt myself relax. Yuqi gave cautious eyes as she nibbled her bottom lip. I looked up at Soojin who appeared so stressed out.

The cop took his cigarette from his lips that had disgusting stubble above it. He typed into his computer. In a lazy drawl, he recited details to the translator who was filling up a small cup of coffee and biting into a donut.

He took a glance at Soojin and sucked his teeth. "This bitch...you again?"

Soojin smirked. "I told you I was trouble."

He took a sip from his cup. He looked at Soojin in a very weird way. It was half admiring half condescending. He pat the chief on the shoulder and I guess he told him to free Soyeon for free. We all got into a cab. Soojin sat next to me. She put her jacket over my shoulders.

Minnie played with her cuticles as we rode back to the hotel. Yuqi had this fixated anger in her eyebrows. When we got back, Soojin pulled me to her suite.

Yuqi turned but Minnie and Soyeon told her to not say anything.

The whole moment of silence was broken when Soojin clicked her door open and wrapped her arms around me. I cried in her arms as I tried to push away (I didn't want to free myself, but I was angry). The mystery was killing me. I smacked her in the face, only to grab her chin and kiss her lips like I haven't tasted them in years. She shook her head away.

"No." Soojin pulled away. She held my hands to avoid my violence. "Not like this. You're fucked up."

"What the fuck?"

"I'll tell you everything."

The sun was threatening to come through the window in the hotel room. The lights were getting dim. Soojin poured herself a cup of water. She opened up the window. I never thought I'd see Soojin not drink anything that isn't alcohol.

"I was 18." Soojin licked her lips. "Hui and I met. He was my husband because he protected me. We made money together. He saw something in me. And I could not put him off. when he got arrested, I was there until I saw how toxic we were. He was all I knew. When I met you, I was reminded of how I used to be. Innocent. Bright. Full of life. Before I was fucked to exhaustion. Drunk and high off of everything. I saw peace in you. And I got you into my mess. I regret that shit, Shu. I never wanted you in this world. And Hui saw that I needed you. And he felt jealous. He knows how I feel about you. Ever since i drove you home that night. He taunts me with the idea of killing you and I can't....just can't let you die because of my shit. So. I think we should end it."

I blinked as I tried to get the taste of alcohol out of my mouth. Tears were running down my cheeks. I couldn't really think. Soojin looked away from me. "So. Why did you get so close?"

"I think it's because I fell in love with you. Or the idea of you, I guess. When I saw you kissing Seungyeon, I thought to myself that maybe I fell into another trap."

"Don't you dare....you left me without a word." I folded my arms. "What the fuck else was I supposed to do?"

"I know you fucked a man without a condom. Word travels fast when you fuck in Seoul bathrooms. Are you that easy?"

I shook my head as tears fell down my cheeks. "You left. I was hurt. What else was I supposed to do?"

Soojin got in my face. "You're a dirty bitch like the rest of them."

"You're the dirtiest of them all. You taught me all that I know."

She gripped my throat. "Fuck you."

Her pupils dilated as she pinned me down to the bed.
