Chapter 17

A shocking homecoming!!

It has been almost 6 months since Izuku left Japan for his journey. It took Izuku months to master magnet style due to being Shukaku's first student, and since Izuku needed to invent new jutsu's from scratch.

Izuku was sitting on his eagle, flying home with Water Style: cloud control active. On his lap a sleeping Shukaku could be found.

One night whilst Izuku was sleeping, Kurama talked to Shukaku and apologized for all the times he looked down on him, how Kurama made fun of Shukaku for just having one tail, how he called him a sand racoon and everything else.

He noticed that Izuku had influenced Kurama to a certain degree, and even though he made fun of Kurama all the time, he would never tell anyone that Kurama's change made him very happy.

Shukaku was glad that they finally could 'bury the hatchet', and become siblings like they used to when they were younger. Due to this Shukaku had also grown attached to Izuku over the months.

When Izuku arrived home, he landed the eagle in the garden and thanked it before it disappeared. Seeing that Shukaku was still sleeping, he didn't want to wake him up. Izuku walked to the part of the garden that had sand, before gently laying him in the sunlight.

Smiling at how peaceful Shukaku looked, Izuku turned around and went inside to meet everyone again. He had missed them all, they've been the closest thing he had to a family.

Something seemed off for Izuku. The blinds on the windows were shut, and no noise came from the building. While approaching the door which led inside the house Izuku thought to himself 'That's weird, is no one at home? I remember sending them a raven telling them that I would arrive today. Is today a special day or something?'

He reached for the handle and slowly opened the door, to see that it was completely dark inside the house. As Izuku flipped the switch, he heard a loud group yell out to him in excitement.

"WELCOME BACK IZUKU, AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY"

Izuku was in shock and surprised by the announcement, but before Izuku knew it he was laying on the floor staring at the ceiling. Looking down on what tackled him, Izuku saw a smiling Toga with tears in her eyes, laying on top while hugging him saying "I've missed you so much Izuuuu!!!!"

Izuku looked around and saw that the room was decorated in birthday decorations. Izuku saw a big cake, with sodas and gifts on the table, everyone in the room were smiling at Izuku while popping confetti towards him.

With the shock gone, Izuku hugged Toga back and started to cry while smiling. Izuku had forgotten that today was his birthday, he hadn't celebrated his birthday in years.

Not since Izuku became 3 years old. When he turned 4, they went to the quirk doctor and soon after they totally forgot about him, and only celebrated with his sister.

Toga became worried as to why Izuku was crying, but those worries disappeared as soon as she heard him say "How did I get so lucky. To have been granted such a amazing family"

It didn't go more than 10 minutes, when Izuku remembered that he brought someone home with him. Izuku said "I almost forgot, I brought someone with me from my travels".

While Izuku ran out to bring Shukaku inside, everyone thought either 'He must have brought a friend with him' or 'did he bring a pet with him'.

Everyone's eyes became wide from shock. Hashirama, nicknamed 'God of Shinobi' was so surprised that he spat out his drink all over Madara. They saw Izuku enter the room, with Shukaku the Sand Spirit cradling in his arms, as Izuku was giving him head rubs like he was a sweet tiny kitten.
