After many hours we finally reached a place that I haven’t been in almost six years, eight for Matt, and I thought that I never would return. I remember father calling many meetings here and with many different packs coming from different continents just to see my parents or to see the training of young wolves. Out of all the young warriors in training it was my brother and I in the top two slots switching almost every week for the top slot. When he disappeared I started slacking on my training because the person that I idolized and who was my rival was gone. Before the revolt I looked at the board noticing that I in the lower ten so if I had continued with slacking on my training I would have been labeled as weak as a medical she-wolf. I sighed at the crumbling building; out of the corner of my eye I noticed something that not many would notice. The clan insignia for my family was glowing telling all who noticed that out there were surviving royals. I smiled that this important relic hasn’t been destroyed yet; the car came to a halt and the moment the door was open Mia and Michel were out the car with Lily and running through the grounds. I saw a few alphas mingling around smiled at the sight of the pups; suddenly I noticed were they were heading. “Mia, Michel, Lily stop!”

Matt who heard me yell, looked where they were before jumping in front of them, I slowly breathed out before running to them. “You three need to watch were you run, the training grounds are that way and they are set with traps that only those who know where they are can make it safely across.”

Many of the alphas that heard me yell were murmuring about my sudden shout until they heard my explanation. I stood to my feet and looked across the field seeing the control panel still located in its’, this switched controlled all the traps surrounding the field, “Hey Matt you feel up for a race?”   

He simply nodded before we took off across the field, I was behind Matt only to see him step on a trap. Which activated it, what appeared made me laugh because it was one that I had set up; many of my instructors called me childish for it but I brushed them off. The trap was a mud pit, and I had set a few around the yard that even if the traps were deactivated they wouldn’t vanish so it kept everyone on their toes. I quickly flew past him and jumped over another pit until I reached the control panel, I looked it over seeing that it still worked after these many years. I flipped the switch deactivating all the traps. I watched as Matt finally reached me, “Did you have to put in those mud pits, they are deadly.”

I laughed at him as I turned toward the pups, “It’s okay guys the traps are disabled.”

A group of pups ran across the field stopping before Matt, “Hey mister were did that mud pit go.”

I quickly rose to my feet not seeing any of the pits, I turned to Takoda who was chuckling at me, “Takoda you jerk why and how did you disable them?”

A few wolves gasped that Takoda was here and that I had the nerve to talk to him like that, “It’s quite simple I just had to look at your notes stating what their settings were and how to find them, it made it easier to disable them.”

I grumbled under my breath and started stomping across the lawn towards the maintenance shed; I could hear Takoda laughing at me still. I smirked when I opened the shed walking to the back, I picked up my water gun from years ago; I chuckled feeling that it was still full. I walked to the back wall pushing on a button with a secret door opening, I quickly rushed through to come out into a series of tunnels. I turned left and went down the second tunnel into the darkness.

My mate yelled at Takoda about something, all he did was laugh at her. My wolf growled at him, Takoda turned towards me, “Don’t worry pup, all I did was disable her mud pits. Do you really want people falling in them?”
