I slowly walked to the girl and stared intently at the girl, she just stared back without cowering away once. I smirked at the girl before turning towards my brother, “I like her, she isn’t a coward but the only question is how did this girl become your mate when you’re a pansy?”

My brother looked at me and before I could run he locked me in a head lock, “Alana please ignore my little sister, she is still delusional.”

“Delusional my ass, you were the one scared of the dark until you were 12 and even to scared to go into the forbidden passages and…. Ouch what was that for?”

Matt had pinched me when I started rambling, but I was soon yanked from his hold and I could tell by the shocks that it was Lakota. A male wolf is possessive of their mates, it’s worse for alphas but I don’t think anyone has met a pissed off royal mate, and being that Lakota was a mate of a royal his possessiveness would have already intensified by now. “Anyway Alana this is my sister, her mate and the two short kids behind them are her kids.”

I smirked at the girl but quickly turning toward the alphas, and walking toward them, “I know many of you are skeptical about what my brother and I told you, but I will tell you this the slayers accept what many of you doubt, they know about five royals but what I doubt they know is that a she wolf is the mate to my brother and is bearing a pup. So I ask you will you stay out of this fight, fight with slayers who don’t care who they exploit or kill just for power or will you fight with people that aim to help all, to protect all, and to right the wrong in this world to the best of their abilities. So what says you, will you fight for justice or for death, what says you?”

I could tell many thought this through before many stepped towards me and a few ran off. I knew that those who ran were slayer supporters and the ones holding back were neutral. I stepped from the hoard of alphas and their mate and children to come to those who are neutral, “I know you don’t want to fight and I won’t make you but take this into mind, the slayers will know you didn’t take a side and do everything in their power to make you fight, they will use your families, friends, and even threaten to take your wolves.”

“How can they do this?”

“Before the revolt we were looking into our origins and how we came to receive our wolves, the head researcher was corrupted to follow the slayers and deciphered the text for them to understand the ways of gaining and losing their wolves.”

I could tell that the others were shocked by the news, I turned towards Alana, “Let’s go find you some more different clothes, Maggi did we ever get rid of Matts clothes?”

“Your parents couldn’t bring themselves to, so we left the room the way it was.”

I nodded before helping Alana into the castle, “The alphas fighting please return to the meeting hall so we may discuss plans.”

So with Alana and pups in tow I started leading them to Matt’s room, in my depression I couldn’t really function and my mind was always wandering to where he might be, I would always venture into his room pulling his blanket around me. Besides my father who could make me feel safe but it was also my brother, he was the person that I first talked to and he even taught me how to fight. My mother almost had a heart attack when she walked in on one of our practices but soon calmed herself when I held my own; for a four year old against a six year old it was greatly surprising. We got a scolding but our practices were allowed to continue, so from that day our rivalry was created. We reached the door of his room and upon opening the door, I was smacked with the scent of Matt, the door always is closed so that no one goes in and it trapped his scent. Alana looked around the room for a moment before walking with me to the closet, I opened the door to see that indeed they did leave everything were it was supposed to be because sitting near the closet door was a pile of dirty clothes and because these sat for almost eight years they festered into something that was frozen from the smell and from being touched. I slammed the door shut before sighing and going to the dressers, I pulled out drawstring pants, and a pajama shirt, “I hope you don’t mind wearing pajamas but until your mate deals with the biohazard I think it would be safer.”

Alana chuckled before changing, I could tell by her bump that she was only about five months into the pregnancy. The pups and Alana followed me out the room and to a different door, I opened it to walk into my room, unlike my brothers mine was trashed but that was because of me; I was always in turmoil about myself that I destroyed my room but after I found out that I was pregnant I finally snapped out of my depression and began worrying for my pup. “Mommy someone trashed your room.”
“I did this when your uncle was missing, he was my best friend losing him I lost my mind.”

I dug through my draws finding some more clothes, “I wore these when I was pregnant, they are really comfy but I don’t know maybe your mate’s clothes are better.”

Alana took the cloths and nodded at me, I reached over and picked up a tennis ball; we began our trek to the meeting hall, I entered the room to everyone talking. I ignored them as I looked for my brother, the moment that I saw him I threw the ball hitting him in the back of the head. He whipped around so fast before he spotted me, “Rose why the fuck did you hit me?”
“Three reasons, one you vanished and made me depressed, two your room is the same, and three your closet is now a biohazard zone.”

He looked at me like I grew a second head, I sighed before shaking my head and speaking slower and simpler, “When you “died” no one could touch anything in your room, which means that pile of clothes in your closet built up smell, and now your closet is a danger zone.”

A look of recognition crossed his face but it soon dropped, “You’re the one cleaning it, I will not your clothes be the death of Maggi.”
“Milady I no mind cleaning.”
“I know Maggi but I almost died by getting a whiff of those clothes and if you died who will make your famous death dark chocolate cake, because only you can make it.”
She smiled at me before nodding, I turned to the alphas who watched the exchange; I ignored them as Matt and I sat in our chairs. The two main chairs were for the king and queen, I looked around at the alphas as Takoda stood behind me, she knows that I will be the one speaking because Matt doesn’t like public speaking and that he has been gone for years so I was forced to train on how to run the kingdom and keep everyone working. I rose to my feet, “I know that many of you don’t want to believe that royals still live and that you can’t accept the fact of being forced to fight but I will say this, I will not force anyone to fight but you all know what the slayers are capable of my brother and I know better than anyone. They are not afraid to torture anyone from a child to an elder but I will say this I am tired of those bastards thinking they can do as they please without consequences, after this war if you don’t want a ruling party anymore then we will not rise to the throne we will become normal pack wolves. Now who is really willing to fight to protect not royals but your mates, children and your packs? What says you?”

I saw Lakota and his father rise to their feet, but it was Rick who spoke, “You think you can get us to not fight Rose you are a member of my family and we protect our family.”

I smiled at them before more wolves rose to their feet yelling out approvals, I also rose to my feet looking around everyone. “Thank you everyone for joining not for my family but to protect yours, now warriors that are eighteen to sixty can fight and any that are older can fight if they want but those that just shifted we will train to guard the packs, who will reside in the castle during this war.”

I looked to the alphas as they nodded in agreement, “But we will need someone to be in charge of all of them, one that doesn’t take bullshit from anyone and doesn’t care about location or social status.”

We all thought before Alana came up with an idea, “Why don’t we select two elders from each pack a male and female to make decisions and Maggi to be the one to enforce them and be the chairman.”

I looked to Maggi to what she thinks, “I not have good English, me not be much help.”

Alana smiled at her before speaking in Romanian, “I will be here and I can translate.”

I looked to the alphas as they nodded in agreement before turning to the alphas, “And so we shall go to war.”
