Chloe's next class-Biology was all the way at the other end of the school.
She had to sprint to make it there on time, considering she would have to stop at her locker.
When Chloe arrived at biology, 3 minutes later, she was going to talk to the teacher to pick up the work she had missed, when she realized that the teacher was gone. That was when she looked at the wall and was paralyzed-frozen in fear.
She looked at the wall on the opposite side of the classroom, and saw a "Welcome Back fart-brain" poster hanging on the wall. Then while she was distracted with the poster, a kid whom she couldn't recognize threw a half dissected frog at her, ruining her new shirt that her mom had gotten for her as a "congratulations, you're cancer-free" present. Which really upset her. But she was so humiliated, she dropped all of her things, and ran to the bathroom as fast as she could, running into 1 teacher and 2 students on the way.
When she got to the bathroom she locked the stall door and started to cry.
Meanwhile, back in the classroom, their biology teacher Mrs. Jensen had just arrived, and when she walked in she tripped over Chloe's things. She immediately asked who had left their things in the middle of the walkway. Everyone was silent.
Mrs. Jensen looked up and saw the "Welcome Back fart-brain" hanging on the wall, and became hysterical. She asked why it was there, and one kid explained it was to "Welcome Back" Chloe, and then said that Tyler had thrown his half-dissected frog at her, and she had dropped her stuff, and ran out. Mrs. Jensen asked whoever was involved to raise their hand.
About half the guys raised their hands.
Mrs. Jensen sent all 7 of them to the principals office, but pulled Tyler aside, and gave him a lecture in front of the entire class. She then gave him a detention slip, and sent him to the principals office.
Alexa (Chloe's ex-best friend), now feeling guilty about not doing anything raised her hand and ask if she could go and try to find Chloe. Mrs. Jensen replied yes, and off Alexa went.
Alexa roamed the halls for a while, but later realized Chloe would probably be hiding.
So, Alexa started searching all the little nooks and crannies of their school. She checked under the bleachers, behind all the decorations in the main lobby, and she even checked outside on the playground, but wasn't having any luck.
Alexa, she realized, had to go to the bathroom.
So she ran to the closest one she could find. She walked in and heard stifled sobs. She walked closer, not knowing if that was actually what she heard. She walked into the stall next to where she heard the sobbing, and leaned her war against the wall. She was right, someone was definitely crying.
Then she realized she was still supposed to be looking for Chloe.
She thought maybe this was Chloe, but is was a very slim chance, considering their school had over 600 students.
She figured it was a shot in the dark, but she said it anyway.
"Chloe?"
