When Jennifer and Kathleen arrived at the high school it was already 4:50. They decided they needed to set a goal. They both decided on $3,000 Both parents were freaking out. They had never been the type of parents to host parties or anything, so they didn't know what it was going to be like. Around 5:05, people started to arrive. First, they came to the admittance table, where they paid $10 to get in. By 5:10 there was a large line, and both Jennifer and Kathleen had to work the table. Luckily they had volunteers that were working concessions, the arcade games, and the track, where people could make pledges for people to walk. By 6:00 the line was dying down, and Jennifer was able to leave Kathleen alone at the table. Kathleen started walking around, observing, asking people if they were having fun etc. everyone said they were having fun, but the dance floor they had booked was kinda sad. There were 2 people slow dancing together-an elderly couple Jennifer decided it was time to take it up a notch. She gave the cue to the DJ to let down the disco ball, and switch to the party playlist. It started to get crazy suddenly younger couples were dancing, and they were texting their friends, telling them to come. Suddenly there was a flood of teenagers at the admittance table, and it required the job of both Jennifer and Kathleen. It took them an hour to finish letting them all in. By the time they were done, it was already 7:30 by the time they were done. After the party, and the arcade games were closed at about 10:30, Kathleen and Jennifer counted their money, and when they got their total it was not what they expected... They had raised $8,349!
