                                                                        ***

It had been one long and excruciating week since Draco and I last spoke. It turns out he was extremely serious about not speaking to me unless it was absolutely necessary. I had most of my classes with him except for Divination so it was difficult to ignore him but he found it easy to not even glance in my direction. The day had just started and I was not looking forward to seeing his stupidly beautiful face ignore me again.

I rolled out of my bed and put on my white button-down uniform shirt, Ravenclaw tie, pleated skirt, and blue thigh high socks. I sat back down on my bed and looked over to my left where the new clothes Draco had bought me sat untouched in their box. I was still so upset with him I'd refused to even open the gift. I was slipping on my white sneakers when Cho Chang burst through my door. Her face was puffy and red, it looked like she'd been crying the entire night.

"P...Prue...he...he," she stuttered.

"Cho calm down, what happened?"

I hadn't spoken much to Cho Chang since that first night. We'd had lunch a few times and studied together a bit but I found myself getting easily annoyed by her and Marietta. Especially since she was adamant about not being seen with Luna who I absolutely adored spending time with.

"He dumped me!" Cho said as she burst into tears.

I walked over to her and clasped her hands in mine.

"Harry broke up with you?" I was in shock, he seemed so infatuated with her.

"Yes, he said it's because I don't trust him and that I'm not over my ex." she was still hyperventilating.

"Cho don't worry I'm sure he'll come to his senses."

"Could you talk to him, please!" Cho was looking at me behind a wall of tears.

Why should I talk to him, I've only known the guy for a week!

"Cho I don't-" Just as I was about to tell her no Luna walked through my door.

I'd never been so happy to see someone in my life. As soon as Cho saw Luna she whipped her tears away, trying to mask her sadness.

"I'll see you later Prue and thank you for saying you'll talk to him." Cho dashed out the door quicker than I could reply.

"What was that about?" Luna queried.

"Honestly, you don't want to know." I sighed.

Luna shrugged her shoulders and walked with me through the dorms and common room to the Great Hall to grab some breakfast.

Luna was such a curious creature, she kept to herself most of the time but I could tell that she was always observing. She and I had begun spending more time with each other since that first night in the dorms. We even had Care of Magical Creatures together which was absolutely wonderful. I thought of Luna as a younger sister and I loved being around her. I admired how she could ignore what everyone else thought of her and did things her own way. I was almost jealous of her because she wasn't afraid to be herself, she could do anything she wanted without being held back. I watched her as she skipped over to the Gryffindor table to meet with the Golden Trio and Ginny, Ron's younger sister who was in Luna's year.
