It was a hot humid day and it couldn't have been worse for the red haired boy as he tagged along in the group of freshmen at QU orientation. There was nothing more he wanted than to have some iced Americano and a chance to straight his leg. The soreness on his calves grew stronger every passing minute as he followed the group leader around campus.

Jongho's mind was long distracted from the non-stop speech of the orientation committee. He was sure it was just campus history that would be irrelevant on the long run. Pouting, he looked around to see if he had a chance to slip away without being noticed. However, to his bad luck, they were at an open space where the rest of the group could easily notice him walking away. Sighing heavily, he gave up that idea and idly listened to the explanation about the various exotic plants the campus garden had.

Struggling to not visibly show his boredom, Jongho looked around the garden area. There were some students sitting on the luscious grass despite the heat. Some were enjoying ice cream, others playing with their peers, the rest had their textbook open and were busily typing on their laptops.

His gaze stopped at a particular small group. The squeaky laugh from one of them caught his attention. To say it was quite a sight would definitely be an understatement. Honey-like skin that glows under the gleaming sun, soft waves of her hair flew around her back. She had a flowy top with little flowers that moved with the breeze. Her jeans shorts were decorated in little dots of white. Holding what looks like ice coffee to her plum coloured lips, she sipped through the straw as she listened to one of the other girls spoke.

A nudge from one other freshmen, urging him to move along, brought him back to reality. Despite wanting to walk toward the girl with flowery top, he found himself following the group to the destination he could care less.

"This is the end of the tour, shortly I will be giving you a list with your mentor's contact details. They are academic-oriented mentors to show you the accessible resourcess during your study. And you can ask them about the different assignment types and where to locate related resource for assignments" the orientation committee announced rather loudly and Jongho couldn’t be more relieved. With the paper stuffed into his bag, he hurried to the direction of his dorm. It had been quite a day.

Grateful for having the single room to himself at the dorm, he placed his bag on his desk and slumped on his bed. It was only a little after 4 PM. He decided to nap before he unpacked the box of textbooks he had placed by the entrance after picking it up from the faculty the day before.

When Jongho woke up, the sun had just set, leaving a burning orange streak on the sky. He decided to shower before heading out for dinner. He remembered a few fast food places by the dorm and thought to just grab a quick meal from one of them.

An hour later, he was back in the dorm with a decent sized burger, a couple chicken wings and a large fries he ordered alongside his iced Americano. Setting the food on the only desk that serves as his study/dining area, he ate his food as he scrolled through his phone. Nothing urgent, a text from his mom asking if he settled in and a few from his friends who were already planning the weekend.

His first class for the week would be in two days but he did have some forms to fill and return to faculty. Hesitantly, he grabbed his bag and retrieved a stack of paper and his pencil case. That's when he noticed the bright yellow paper titled 'Academic Mentor Contacts'. Scanning it for his name, he learned that his mentor, Song Soyi, was a senior of 2 years judging by the student number. Making a mental note to call the mentor first thing in the morning, he started with the forms he needed to finish.
