Jongho couldn’t help it. He saw the despair in her eyes at the bar. It had squeezed his heart in pain, even before his mind could comprehend what was going on.

Standing in front of her dorm hall, seeing her under the golden hue of the lights at the entrance, Jongho knew he loved her. If he had not been sure the first time, that exact moment, he did.

So, as he leaned forward brought his lips on the softness of her own, he wished for nothing but to take all the pain away. The kiss was soft and tender. His lips barely grazing the plump lips of Soyi's. With his eyes closed he willed for all her pain to dissolve into nothingness. To paint the smile back in her face.

A faint gasp left Soyi's lips and brought Jongho back to reality as he withdrew from the kiss.
"Noona, you should get inside." It took every bit of him to contain the pounding of his heart.

"A-a- alright. Thank you" puzzled Soyi swiped her key and went inside.
Jongho stood there as the older took one last look to his direction before disappearing at the corner of the hallway.

'What have you done, Choi?' he breathed as he turned on his heels to head to his place. His mind suddenly clouded with concerns of the repercussions of his actions. With the new realisation of possible outcomes of his impulsive decisions of the day, he resigned to the night. One truth remained; he regretted none.

The following day started as soon as the bright rays of sunshine peeked through the gap between the curtains he had not properly closed last night. Huffing, Jongho reached out to the night stand for his phone. It was almost 8. Too early to be up on a weekend.

His notification bar was full: school emails, SNS comments, Yeosang's message on LINE to go play soccer - which sounded like a good time. However, he had set his mind to something else.
He went to his recent contacts and dialed a number. Bringing the phone to his ear, he waited for the other side to pick up the call.

"Ahh, Jongho-ya." Her voice was a little raspy, it had to be the alcohol from last night.

"Noona, did I wake you up?" He felt guilty listening to her sleepy voice.

"Uhh- it's okay. I didn't know it was 8. Why did you call though?" There was a loud sound from Soyi's line, causing Jongho to be alarmed.

"Noona, are you okay? What happened?" he asked.

"No no. I am fine. I just knocked something off from the nightstand."

"Oh okay. Noona, do you wanna have breakfast together?" he knew he was pushing his luck after last night's event.

To his surprise, however, she had agreed and asked to have some time to get ready.

Jongho stood in front of Soyi's dorm half an hour later with a small plastic bag in hand. He had stopped by the convenience store next to his dorm to get ionised water to help with hangover.

She appeared minutes after in a light blue sundress, her hair cascading down and framing her oval face.

"Hi" she greeted him with a half smile.

"Noona, here. Drink this" he handed her the bottle.

Eventhough Soyi was startled, she took the bottle and had a sip.

Jongho had ordered an uber which took them to a relatively quiet cafe with very cozy atmosphere. There were dainty little flowers of various soft colours placed everywhere.

He didn't miss the sparks in her eyes when she saw the place for the first time. Even now, as they waited for their food, she couldn't help but look around.
"Noona, I will take a pretty photo for you once we finish eating" Jongho smiled at her.

"Ah, sorry Jongho. But this place is so beautiful" hint of pink painted her cheeks, flustered by the boy's words.

"Yes, indeed. But there's a more beautiful sight" he whispered to himself.

"What did you say?" Soyi inquired.

"Ahh- just. I- Noona, about last nigh-" he knew he needed to address it eventually.

"Your order, one avocado toast, one English breakfast, one iced americano, and one orange juice" the server interrupted.

When the server left, Soyi was first to speak.
"Did you regret it?" she was looking straight into his eyes and he wished to know what those eyes of hers were trying to say.

"N-No, noona that's n-"

"Then don't apologise and make it sound like you regret it" she took some cutlery and started to cut into her toast. Gesturing him to do the same.

Jongho felt a pang in his heart. The last thing he wanted was to make the older felt like his action was a meaningless impulsive decision.

A few seconds of contemplating, he grab Soyi's hand and squeeze it softly, demanding her attention. Her eyes quickly shot surprised look toward him.

"Noona, I won't apologise for kissing you. But, if I could have done it all over again, it would have been on a beautiful day where you can look into my eyes and not think about anything else but then and there"
