A week went on after the explosions. Scarlett was standing and staring at herself in the bathroom mirror. She was wearing just a bra and underwear. Tommy walked up with no shirt on and wrapped his arms around her and rested his chin on her shoulder.
          "Beautiful." He whispered.
She gave him a look in the mirror.
"Come on. I can't fall asleep without you and you can't without me." He said as he made eye contact with her.
She turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck. Eventually she pulled away and looked at him and smiled.
"So sleeping. That's really what we're going to do?"
He smirked. She ran her hand through his hair and slowly kissed him and then softly bit his bottom lip.
          "Fuck." He whispered.
She looked up at him and he threw his head back.
          "Scar."
He picked her up and carried her to the bed. Tommy woke up the next morning and felt for Scarlett, but she wasn't there. He got out of bed and got dressed as she walked out in a towel. She made eye contact with him as she dropped her towel and then walked over to her dresser. Tommy raised his eyebrows. Scarlett put clothes on and then turned to look at him staring at her.
          "Damn you, woman." He said.
She smirked and walked up to him. She put her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately and pulled away to make eye contact.
"Damn me." She smirked and then walked out.
He leaned his head back and took a deep breath. Scarlett stuck her head back in the door.
"Are you coming or not. We have business, Mr. Shelby." She joked.
He shook his head and followed her out the door. They walked in together at the office. Everyone was there. They walked in on Lizzie yelling.
"You do not get to tell me who I can and can't be with." She yelled at John and Arthur.
"Lizzie, he's a Changretta. He blew up our pub." John said.
"I listen and I do what I'm told. You will not tell me who I can be with." She said sternly.
"He isn't his family. He's a good man." She yelled.
"A good man." Scarlett scoffed as she walked to her office and slammed her door.
"By order of the peaky blinders you will not see him and he will not see you." Arthur said .
Lizzie looked at him.
"Fuck you and fuck the peaky blinders." She said as she walked out.
Arthur and John looked at Tommy. Tommy nodded at them.
"Take care of it." He said as he went to his office.
The two boys nodded and walked out. Tommy ran his hand through his hair and walked to his office. Ada, Polly, and Wesley stared at each other.
"Is it always this hostile in the morning?" Wes asked.
"Not just the morning, dear." Polly said as she walked off.
Wesley took a deep breath as he looked at Ada.
"I'm gonna go check on Scarlett. I'll be out in a minute." He said as he walked over.
He knocked then walked in. She was sitting doing paperwork. He noticed an envelope on the ground and picked it up.
"This was on the ground." He said as he handed it to her.
She took it and put it under her stack of papers.
            "Thank you."
            "Are you good?" He asked.
            "Yeah? Why wouldn't I be?"
"Well the whole Lizzie and Changretta thing."
She looked at him like he was stupid.
"And the fact that you have to send Lane and Liam's bodies back today?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Lane died in a tragedy and Liam....Liam deserved it." She said coldly.
She stood up and grabbed her coat and opened her office door.
"He's lucky he's going back to New York in one box." She said as she turned around to see Tommy, Polly, and Ada talking, but they all heard her.
Wesley stood up.
"Scarlett." He yelled as she walked out the door.
She walked down the cobble street in her heels and sunglasses. People got out of her way as she walked. She had been there long enough for them to know who she was. She reached the docks and walked over to the two wooden caskets. Curly and Charlie walked up to her. She took a deep breath and nodded.
"Very well then. Thank you for transporting them. If you will please give this letter to the captain." She said as she handed it to Charlie.
He nodded and gave her a look.
"You know I see the same thing in your eyes that I see in Tommy's." He said.
She clenched her jaw and looked at them and then turned around to start walking away.
"Ms. Scarlett...I'm very sorry about your loss." Curly said.
She turned around and smiled at him because he was sweet.
"Not my loss, Curly." She said as she walked away.
She walked for a while and ended up on the bridge that over looked a river.
"You're not gonna jump are you? Because the water is freezing and I'd have to go in after ya." Tommy joked as he leaned against the railing.
               "I don't need to be-"
               "Saved?" He finished for her.
She looked at him and sighed.
"You can't save me from myself, Tom."
He sighed and pushed a piece of hair behind her ear.
"You and me both." He said quietly.
They stood there together in silence for a while.
"Well if you jump...I'm jumping with you."
She turned to look at him.
"Not today." She shook her head.
"I have a brother to get to know." She said as she nudged his shoulder.
               "That you do."
She looked at him and he grabbed her hand as they walked back into town. They saw thick smoke coming from a building and then saw the flames.
"What is that?" She asked him.
"That, my love, is a warning." He smirked.
She nodded and smiled as they walked on. The two walked in the office to see everyone sitting there. Tommy walked over and grabbed his two brothers shoulders.
              "Well done." He whispered.
They nodded and then everyone started talking amongst themselves until Lizzie busted through the door.
"You burned his fucking restaurant down?" She yelled.
             "Lizzie." John said.
"No, fuck you. Why did you burn his restaurant down? Just to keep me away from him?"
"He's a bad man and you need to stay away from him." John said calmly.
She slapped John.
"Lizzie, he's a fucking animal. He burned our pub down with us in it. Not to mention what he did to Scarlett's family." Arthur said as he stood up.
Lizzie laughed.
"Poor Scarlett. It's always about fucking Scarlett. Ever since she got here, it's been about her." She yelled at Tommy.
              "Enough." Tommy yelled.
"You work for me and you know what happens here. You will not see him anymore. We don't sleep with our enemies." He said sternly.
Lizzie got in his face.
"Everyone except you right?" She spat.
Everyone got silent and looked at the two. Lizzie laughed and stepped back with her hands in the air.
"I can stay away from him, but have you stayed away from Grace?" She mocked.
Lizzie looked at Scarlett and then turned around and walked out.
"What the fuck is she talking about, Thomas?" Polly asked.
"Nothing, alright. Let's get back to business." He said as he walked to the head of the table.
He could feel Scarlett's eyes burn through him as he stood there.
"So. Arthur and John we are meeting Angel and his father Vicente tomorrow to have a discussion." Tommy said.
"You're meeting with the Changretta's and I'm not going?" Scarlett questioned.
"No. This is just a discussion and we have to keep our tempers under control." Tommy said without looking at her.
Scarlett threw her head back and laughed.
"But having a Capone there will make a difference." Polly said.
"Which is why we are taking Wesley." Tommy responded.
Scarlett's head shot up.
"The fuck did you just say?"
Tommy took a deep breath and exhaled loudly. Scarlett shook her head and laughed.
"No. You aren't taking him as a prop. He doesn't live this life. Taking him will be like handing the Changretta's the fucking holy grail." She said as she stood up.
             "Scar." Tommy said.
"Don't....He's not going." She said in a low tone.
"Sis, I'm a big boy. I can handle myself. Think about how shocked they will be when they see me." Wesley said.
Scarlett walked to the center of the room and ran her hand through her hair as she turned away from them.
"It's a perfect opportunity for me to learn this life so I can help dad and eventually take over." He added.
"Perfect opportunity? No, your perfect opportunity was when mom took you and fucking left. You got out." Scarlett yelled without turning around.
"That wasn't my choice. And now it's my time to-"
"To fucking what? Prove your worth to our father and get yourself killed?."
              "It's suicide." She screamed.
"I'm a little smarter than that." He said sarcastically.
"No you're not. Because if you think you won't die tomorrow..." She trailed off.
"You don't know everything." He yelled.
She whipped around and stared at him.
"I do know the Changretta's. I've been studying them for years and planning a vendetta. They will have your head on a fucking stick before you can even say your name. They will serve you on a fucking silver platter to dad. Al Capone's long lost son, that's the fucking jackpot and you're dumb if you think they won't. The war between our two families won't stop until one side is completely dead. And you going tomorrow will just be another notch on their belt."
Everyone was staring at her.
"I'm going tomorrow. There's nothing you can do about it." He said sternly.
She nodded as she looked at him.
                 "Well it's your funeral."
She walked out and slammed the door.
