Luke and I ended up making our way to the park and sitting on one of the benches. He wrapped both of his arms around me as I leaned back onto his chest.
"I'm trying my best not to love you Juliet...But I can't."
"I don't want you to stop loving me."
I turned to face him. My heart was racing as we stared into eachother's eyes. I leaned in and pressed my lips to his. I could feel his lipring on my lips but it didn't seem to bother me. He had changed a lot since I left. He had cut his hair shorter and he was taller. I smiled against his lips as I pulled away.
"I've been waiting for a long time to kiss you."
I blushed and looked down and my watch. It was almost 6, I guess I had lost track of time. I bit my lip and looked back up.
"I should get goin. Walk me home?"
"Of course."
Now I wasn't scared of having people hangout with me. Mostly because it wasn't my house but also because I didn't have to be afraid of what people thought. Luke kissed me on the cheek and started to walk back home. I snuck in the door and onto the couch where a bed was set up for me. I snuggled into the covers and tried to get at least an hour or two of sleep.
I was suddenly woken up when Beau shook me.
"Jul. Wake up! Do you know where Luke is? He never came home."
I sprang up. I looked at the clock and it was 10 in the morning. I quickly put on my running shoes and a pair of Bryanna's yoga pants and a loose V-neck T-shirt. I didn't bother to cover up the bruises on my neck and arms. We all stood in Bryanna's living room.
"Okay so Bryanna and I will go in my car. James and Jessica will go in their car. Jai is staying home to see if Luke comes home so that leaves Jul and Skip."
We turned to look at eachother. Things had simmered down since I had gotten back. I didn't really feel like getting into more fights with him. I silently agreed to go with him. We all split up and I got into the passenger side of Skip's car.
"So how are you Juliet? I was going to stop over this afternoon but since all this happened..."
"I'm fine."
We drove around for a little while. I had tried calling Luke's phone but it was dead. I had contact with everyone else and they had not seen Luke. Skip drove quickly past an alleyway when I screamed, "Stop the car!"
He pulled over and I ran into a secluded alleyway to see someone laying on the cold, hard floor. I recognized the clothing and I knew it was Luke. I bent over next to him and called for Skip.
"Call the police! Call someone!"
I looked at Luke laying uncounsious. I lightly touched his cheek. He had a bloody nose and it looked like he was hurt badly. An ambulance came eventually followed by Beau, Jai, James, Jessica and Bryanna. I was a mess, I was crying uncontrollable as I tried to ride with Luke in the ambulance.
As i tried to chase after the ambulance Skip ran after me catching up to me quickly. He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me back.
"Jul, it will be fine. We'll meet him at the hospital later when they say he is able to have visiotrs we will go."
