Rosé's POV

"You know you don't have to bring these much books right? The exams are already over." Jennie unnie said worryingly as she carried some books of the stack I'm carrying. I smiled at her softly, "Thanks and I'm fine. I just wanted to study for fun."

Unnie rolled her eyes. "For fun, my ass. Tell me how is studying fun?" She asked as we continued walking to our class. I giggled and shrugged. "I don't know? Studying has always been a part of me and I'm used to it." I said.

"Anyways, are you excited to get the report paper today? I know you will do very well and I know I will do miserably bad." She said and my grip on my book tightened. I smiled, "Don't say like that. You always do well in your tests!" I spoke. Unnie shrugged.

"But still, I suck at those subjects especially history and math. I mean we aren't even becoming historians so why do we have to learn random human creatures past and we aren't become mathematicians so why do we have to learn all those formulas? I'm serious Math but I'm done finding your exes so find it yourself. Why'd they even break up with lots of girl or boy whatever gender the book was dating." She said and did gestures to emphasize some of the words. I giggled.

"Oh come on, that was mean." She rolled her eyes. "Sorry not sorry." I chuckled, shaking my head. Typical Jennie Kim.

-

Students were all around the class, yelling, chatting and makeup-ing or whatever they were doing when me and Jennie unnie entered after keeping my books in the locker. I shook my head and went towards my seat which was behind unnie's.

"I bet you will get all correct!" Unnie exclaimed as she turned around instantly to face me. I smiled. "We aren't sure of the final results." I replied. "Yeah but you were studying so hard those few days that you declined all my hangout plans with you so I'm sure you will do EXTREMELY well!" She said, emphasizing extremely loudly.

"Students settle down." The male voice boomed and Jennie unnie threw me a wink before turning to face the teacher. All the students rushed towards their seat, stumbling on the way.

"Alright, since you're all settled down, I just want to say that the results are out and all of you passed!" Mr Lee exclaimed. "But just a handful of you needs a little more practice to not repeat the exact mistakes again and again." He narrowed his eyes. "But anyways, let's give it out. As expected from our top student, Rosé got the highest of all!" Mr Lee exclaimed and everyone started clapping. Jennie unnie turned around and winked at me again and mouthed. "Told ya!" I shook my head and went up to take the result slip from Mr Lee. I had eyes filled with hope as I moved forward.

I took the paper and quickly walked towards my table, not seeing a single word on the white piece of paper. While everyone continued congratulating each other, I stared at the slip, wondering if I should flip it over. Aish, just flip it! You got the highest anyways!

I flipped and my eyes immediately stung at what I saw. I felt a lump in my throat and I looked away, blinking my eyes. My hands crumpled the paper and I slowly stuffed it in my bag before smiling and congratulating everyone as if nothing happened. I looked at unnie's slip before clapping for her.

"Told you, you will do well!" I smiled at her who returned a smile back. "The results were sent to your parents just now. You are now dismissed." Mr Lee announced and the class disbanded into small groups in a matter of seconds.

"I'll see you tomorrow Rosie. I have to meet up with Tae at the library." She said and walked away. I nodded to no one in particular as I sat on my chair, spacing out. Thoughts invaded my mind.

"Aish, even if I run away, they will find me. They have trackers on everything." I mumbled and slammed my head on my table.

-

My feet were hesitant to continue walking. My hands immediately started to scratch each other at the nervousness. Calm down Rosé. He will also not do that well so calm down. You are the first in class anyways... I calmed myself down.

As I neared towards the door of my house, I heard loud voices. "I'm so glad to have you as my son!" The feminine voice boomed. "So he did really do well..." I mumbled and opened the door. Silence engulfed as eyes fell on me.

I looked away from the 2 older people's gaze as I already saw it.

"Oh look who it is. It's the outcast of the family." My dad's voice spoke and I blinked the tears that were threatening to fall away.

"I did well father and mother." I said, my voice and myself trembling.

"Well?" Mother scoffed. "WELL?! YOU'RE GROUNDED TILL YOU CAN CORRECT YOUR GRADES AND MARKS!" She screamed and I flinched. "Y-yes mother." I rushed to my room and spared a glance at my brother who had a smug smile plastered on his face.

Fat tears started to drop down my cheeks but there was no one to see them. Once the door was closed, I fell onto the bed face first. I wept, hot tears soaked into the sheets leaving damp evidence but the proof was written on my face.

Crying was hard to hide.

With my eyes puffy and red, I took out the slip from my bag and stared at it.
