The pillars, with their extraordinary speed, arrived at the town Giyuu supposedly had last been before the announcement of the encounter of the confrontation with Muzan.

The split up, with the eight pillars searching in one zone.

Some lower ranked slayers also arrived several hours later, helping the search of Giyuu and Muzan in small groups.

Meanwhile, Giyuu Tomoika Has awoken, in his demon state.

Giyuu didn't particularly remember anything, except for two names. Tomoika Giyuu, and Rengoku...Kyojuro? Who's Rengoku..?

Giyuu POV :

"Ugh.. I can't care about all of this yet. My left arm hurts like hell, and I'm sure I need some help." I thought as I walked out of the forest and onto the street. My skin immediately started withering and burning away. I yelped, and people immediately gave me weird stares.

I ducked into the dark forest, and was surprised by how fast I was. My eyes immediately started adjusting to the darkness. Am I even human..anymore? I-I can't go into the sun anymore. I think I need some help.

I started walking through the forest, avoiding small patches where the leaves didn't shield the sunlight away.

As I was mindlessly walking around the woods, adjusting to my new power and weakness to the sun, I saw a familiar shadow.

"Tomoika-San..?" The man with golden hair muttered.

"Rengoku..?"

I didn't know why I even muttered that name out. It just felt..right?

Assuming from what that man said, Tomioka Giyuu is my name, and Rengoku..is his name?
