Peter's POV

*BOOM!*

"Ok, I think that's enough for today!" Mr. Stark laughed as he waved the smoke away from the suit we were working on. We were hoping to work on making the blasters more precise and aim better. Technically, it worked? I smiled as we exited the lab and entered the common room.

"Blow something up again Tony?" Mr. Captain Rogers asked, not looking up from his newspaper.

"What? Nooooooo. I would never!" he replied, completely ignoring his smoldering clothing. This earned a chuckle from the rest of the avengers scattered across the room. Mr. Falcon was sitting with Mr. Sergeant Barnes attempting to explain to him how an email worked, with Mr. Barnes insisting he knew how to send one. (I don't think he did.) Miss. Black Widow was sitting with them, occasionally pointing out what both Mr. Falcon and Mr. Barnes was doing wrong. Dr. Banner was probably in his laboratory, but I could not find Mr. Barton. I was sure I heard him laugh at Mr. Stark, but he was not in sight. "You hungry, Peter?" Mr. Stark asked, distracting me from trying to figure out where Mr. Barton was. "Sure Mr. Stark! Let me help you!" I chirped, following him into the kitchen. I helped Mr. Stark as we prepared a plate of sandwiches for the rest of the avengers too. (More like did most of it, because, as it turns out, Mr. Stark cannot cook.) I finally closed the fridge when we finished, and let out an ear-piercing scream. Mr. Stark and several other avengers came running into the room.

I found Mr. Barton.

He was on top of the refrigerator.

"So, Peter. Why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself?" Miss. Black Widow asked. I could feel myself turning slightly red.

"Well, uh, I like science. I go to Midtown, with my friends Ned and MJ."

Mr. Barton nodded solemnly and said, "Smart kid school," I didn't reply to that.

"I'm just a normal 15 year old kid!" I exclaimed nervously.

"Please, you solved the equation Bruce and I had been working on for ages! I wouldn't call that normal, it's incredible!" Mr. Stark said. I turned even more red.

"T-thanks Mr. Stark!" As the conversation continued onto other topics, I allowed my mind to drift between their conversations. Mr. Rogers, Mr. Falcon, and Mr. Barnes were discussing something vaguely military related, Mr. Barton was trying to convince Miss. Black Widow that waffles are pancakes with abs, and Mr. Stark was trying to convince Dr. Banner that it would be an excellent idea to put vibranium in his iron man suits. They were all interrupted by the elevator dinging. Miss. Potts was coming up here!

"Hey everybody, you have a meeting with Director Fury in 15 min- oh! You must be Peter!" She said upon noticing me. I smiled and nodded. She continued talking to the rest of the team after saying hi. "Also, Vision, Wanda, and Pietro are returning from their mission in 4 days. Thor attempted to send me an email, so I suspect he will be visiting soon," Most of the avengers nodded, except Mr. Stark, who pouted at the prospect of a meeting with Director Fury. I was secretly excited. With them gone, I could hack FRIDAY and go out as Spiderman!

I hacked FRIDAY's security camera and inserted a loop of footage of me doing homework. Until the Avengers returned, I could be Spiderman! I didn't expect the avengers to return until much later, so I slipped into my suit. I could feel Steeb looking at me with his big eyes, silently asking me not to go. "Now steeb," I told him, "You don't have a secret identity that all of New York is counting on." He whined and layed down on my bed. "Be good!" I called as I leapt out the window and swung off to the streets of the city.
