Peter's Pov

"Pete, come have breakfast before school! Or no patrolling this afternoon!" Tony called out to me as I made my way towards the window. I froze and shoved my mask back into my pocket

"You caught me," I laughed and walked into the kitchen.

Okay, I guess I should back up and explain. When Aunt May talked to me, I just sort of spilled everything. I told her about Spiderman, the wrong number texts, the abuse, all of it. She was so quiet afterwards I thought she had fainted. Anyways, she was so shocked and impressed, not only was she okay with me staying with the Avengers, she actually thought that it might be a good idea for me to stay there a lot more often. She explained that her recovery would take a long time and she wouldn't be able to provide for me during that time, so she signed partial custody of me over to Tony- my IronDad now. The final papers arrived yesterday, and we all couldn't be more overjoyed.

Tony set a plate of waffles in front of me (don't go thinking he can cook, the toaster did all the work) and ruffled my hair. I grabbed one, but my smile dropped as I walked into the living room.

"Hey buddy, how are you feeling?"

Steeb only wagged his tail, so I fed him half of the waffle. Probably not the best for dogs, but he deserved it. He probably saved my life, after all. Luckily he'll make a full recovery, maybe with only a slight limp. I smiled and rubbed his head, before I checked my watch and cursed loudly.

"Language!" came the reply of several adults, who now took it up as their sworn duty to eradicate all cursing (namely, my dog's name twin).

"Bye guys, I'm going to be late for school soon!" I shouted as I sprinted for the elevator.

~3rd person Pov~

Tony's face fell. He understood that these changes were probably pretty sudden for Peter still, but wouldn't his son want to say goodbye to him? Maybe they weren't there yet. His musings were interrupted as Peter ran back into the kitchen.

"Oh, and bye Dad! I'll miss you," He said as he practically tackled Tony with a hug. Peter's face turned red at the last part and he ran back into the elevator, but Tony just stood there smiling like a dork until Nat came and snapped him out of it. Despite all their mishaps and troubles along the way, Peter and the Avengers were family, and none of them would trade that family for anything in the world.
