Days before Christmas: 18 Time: 12:07 PM
Krista blows the smoke from her coffee before sipping. There are a couple of stores that sells watches in very affordable prizes but she is never sure those are the kind of watches Callum would want. Besides, probably most of his friends or a few of his friends would give him watches, since it is a very predictable object to give to someone especially when that person is a male. She should probably give him a suit, but the man has a whole lot of suits. A hat perhaps? Or a book. Does he like books? The woman takes another sip.
She reaches the last step of the staircase and walks around the floor for the fifth time. Krista looks at the few people holding paper bags for gifts and the shops and boutiques with Christmas decors and announcing the many discounts and sales they have from big letterings. What should she buy?
The woman sits down on the nearest bench empty-handed and tired. Her boots feel groggy from the hours and hours of searching for gifts but all she receives is a hopeless spirit and weary soul. She puffs a sigh. There are children playing with their PSPs and one with a Gameboy, and the rest are adults waiting for someone.
She soon drinks the last of her coffee. Krista stands up after tucking a strand of her hair behind her right ear, and walks to the nearest trash bin to throw the Styrofoam on her hand. She adjusts the sling of her bag as she bends down to throw it away when she sees a crumpled poster of-
No. No this can't be. Not possible. The white bold lettering, the blue and black background and... Krista stares at it, horrified, causing her heart to pound rapidly from her chest. It says they're coming back and it says-
No. Not this time. She picks up the poster and tears it one by one, crumples the papers firmly and hard before throwing it away in the bin. She storms off while holding the sling of her bag, the poster's heat still present in her fingers.
