The room seemed to be filled with a ton of people. They all looked very intimidating and were staring directly at me.

“Luc-Luca?” I asked. I looked into the huge steel warehouse. Lining the walls were guns of different sizes. There were cabinets also lining that wall that had boxed packaging of white substance.

He didn’t say anything and pushed me into the room. I stumbled at first but eventually got hold of the balance.

“Langston!” A burly man yelled.

“Yes.” I squeaked. My cheeks were burning and I could feel every inch of my body begin to sweat.

“Everyone go into your groups and do what you need to do.” He spoke waving his hand to motion them off.

I looked around trying to find a forgiving face but they all had their backs turned. This couldn’t be happening? What even is this I thought?

“I-”

“You know why you are here, stop looking so confused.” He interrupted.

“Yes, but what is this.” I asked.

“It’s your worst nightmare if you don’t do exactly as I say, got it!” He shouted.

He walked away towards one of the dozens of groups and started to talk to them. I looked back at Luca only to see that he was no longer behind me. I stood there standing out like a sore thumb. I went to go on my phone when Luca came up to me.

“My dad.” He started.

“What?” I questioned.

“That's my dad.” He said.

“Oh ok. Got it.” I said.

“Is there any one else I need to know?” I asked.

“yeah .” Luca said as he grabbed my arm.

He pulled me over into a group of fairly younger people and began to introduce them and what they did.

They all seemed to work for the mafia and shared that they would do anything for anyone in the group. I began to get nervous almost like I had done something wrong. I shifted my feet inwards and tried to not make any eye contact.

Luca then introduced me to all the groups but the last one was the most important he said as he pulled me over.

“Arabella please be careful with your actions and your words.” He asked. He took a cigarette out of his pocket and lit the paper. Luca clearly took after his habits.

“Yeah sure.” I said mockingly.

“I am going to introduce you to my brother. He can be difficult to say the least. He can also be manipulative if it gets to the point in which he needs to be. Just be careful ok.” He said.

“Ok.” I said.

We walked up to the last group. I immediately noticed that they were all towering over me, they were at least 6 foot and up. They wore all blacks and some of them were smoking. I shuffled up to them and looked around to see if I could spot Luca’s brother.

“Langston.” One of the men shouted.

They all collectively stared down at me. Their gaze burned into mine and I felt my face go red.

“What's the matter princess. We aren’t going to hurt you.” One said.

Yeah right, I thought to myself trying to avoid their constant glares.
