Quinn P.O.V.

Wonderful.... Just wonderful... He didn't show up when I knocked his door. He didn't come to school either. I wanted to ask him sorry and he's so... huh, I was the rude one there. I made my way to the home room cause it was a free period. But hell, I couldn't think straight. I thought of skipping school and texted dad about it. "Dad, I'm gonna cut school!! Is it okay?" I waited outside giving him five minutes to respond. My phone beeped in seconds indicating dad's text. It read, 'Why asking permission and all? Informing me is enough. Don't wander much. Love you xxx' I smiled at his text and wondered how lucky I was to be his daughter.. Then I reached the parking lot to start my bike. I reached my house within minutes and parked my bike in the garage.

I dropped my bag in the porch stairs and headed to the trail behind my house. I walked further to what looked like woods. Just then my senses kicked in and examined the surroundings. "Oh no!" I almost stopped breathing as I realized something. "My dreams occurred in the exact background" I.. I was beyond shocked.  I shook in fear and failed to walk properly. I stumbled on one of the roots of a ginormous tree and was about face plant myself, but luckily, it didn't happen. Someone was holding onto my hand. "Are you okay?" came the panicked voice. "Y-yeah" I stuttered. I stood up from his strong grip and faced down as I was ashamed. "Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be in school?" he questioned as he yanked his hand from mine.

I was straight to the point, "Look Felix, I'm sorry. I really am" I paused as I took a breath and continued, "I was confused, irritated and sad at the same time. I know that I'd hurt you and my mistake is unforgivable. But try to understand from my shoes. I'm not justifying myself" I said and took his hand in mine. "I'm just telling you to try forgiving me. Please, I don't wanna lose my friend" I completed my impulsive speech but his other hand which was free from me, had turned into a tight fist. That kinda didn't bother me, what bothered me was his next question. It punched me in the gut. "Why did you hide it from me? I knew that something was different about you after the cafeteria incident"

Now he faced me and said, "I waited and waited long enough for you to tell me, cause your dad warned me, not to force you to tell me about your powers. Am I still not worthy of your trust?" He asked me with a pained expression on his face as he took his hand away again. "I'm sorry" was all I could say. I turned away from him in guilt. What could I do? "That would put you in more danger, can't you understand?" I yelled making a thunderclap above us. "Quinn!" His melodic voice yelled. I whipped my head towards Remi's direction. "I need your help!" he rushed out worriedly. "What happened?" I asked him forgetting to acknowledge the fact that Felix was watching us keenly. "Huh, what?" Felix questioned as he turned towards my direction.

Ignoring him, I spoke to Remi, "Why are you tensed?" "Please don't tell him where I'm going!" he answered, avoiding my question. "Where are you going?" I shot back. "I'm right here Merida! Are you alright?" He asked me, his voice was laced with panic as he pulled my elbow, making me shift my attention towards him. Remi's gaze fell on his hand on my elbow and then met my eyes. "I will explain it to you later, but please tell him to take his hands off you" he gritted his teeth. I just stared at him as he gave me a pleading look. Damn adamant boy! What have I gotten myself into? I sighed and faced Felix. "Felix, could you give us a minute?" He was stunned. Yes, that's the correct word to describe his emotion. His mouth drooped open an inch and he whipped his head to the left and right as he stepped back from me.

"What the hell is happening out here?" "I promise I'll explain everything to you" I pleaded Felix, desperately. "Everything?" "Everything!??!" panicked Remi. "Don't worry he's good at keeping secrets, aren't you?" I asked Felix and pointed my pinky finger at him which he accepted as he squinted his eyes at me. With that he vanished among the trees. "Remi! Jeremy!!" I shouted as I walked forward but was stopped by a confused Felix near me. I took a deep breath and faced him. "Would he think I'm mad?" it spiralled around my little head, making me feel tensed. "You need to calm down Quinn!" I muttered. My senses were already brightened due to the terror I'd experienced in my dream.

My breathing increased when I heard the footfalls of an animal. I listened intently for further actions. "Are you okay?" Felix jerked my hand from my waist. "Sshh!" I said as I heard my own heartbeat increasing its speed. The bushes near me shivered as I stumbled back towards Felix. "Wait here" he ordered me as he went forward. Suddenly a cat pranced out of the bush and landed carefully on its paw near me. I forced an awkward laugh and said, "It's a cat!" It's fur was pitch black but had silver in them which caused it to shimmer. I was mesmerized again in its beautiful golden eyes and I tried to touch it. Just before I could do it, Felix pulled me and ran back towards my house.

Once we were inside, I locked the door shut. "It looked like it hypnotized you again!" he shouted frantically. "Calm down" I wheezed out in between my breaths. "You owe me many explanations Merida" he reminded me again. "Hmm, follow me" I said as I took him to my room to show the research, which I had done these past few days. "Your room looks wonderful and you have maintained it neatly" he said. "Focus!" I hissed. He chuckled as I lead him to the collection of my data. His playful smile dropped when he saw my clipboard. Various facts from A-Z were pinned up on the board along with my nightmare sketches. His eyes lingered on one of my sketches, as he took a sharp intake of breath.

I took a peak and found there were three figures in that sketch. A faceless man was letting go of a faceless woman to another man in the car. Yep, some of you guessed it right. It was one of the fragments of my dream. He turned to me and pointed his finger towards it and asked, "Any reason as to why you drew it?" "Umm" I stuttered as I couldn't find the right words. "I'm having nightmares since the day, I first landed my feet in this place and it still haunts me" I exhaled the breath I had in with me. "Some people have places, things or even persons to vent their feelings out. Just like that, Felix, Whenever I sketch my nightmares, its like a feeling of sharing my pain to everyone without actually telling them" I completed.

He hummed in response and examined my other sketches. "You're distracting me" I said as I got his attention on me. "What I'm gonna say would be ridiculous but believe me, it's not. I'm speaking the truth so don't interrupt me in between, all of your doubts will be clarified at the last" he hummed as he smiled lovely. "You look so cute when you're like this" he chuckled. I smiled. "Well, the world is full of supernatural stuffs and its beyond your wildest dreams" I chuckled dryly. "It all started when I turned 12" I said and took a deep breath.
