New Friend

                    What the hell did I do wrong? Should I not ask him questions? It was his fault to sneak up on me, right? But my mind partially accepted it was mine too. There, it resulted in me sitting in the deserted library for 5 minutes. The room seemed colder now and it's obvious to me cause I'm sad. Why am I sad? Cause the mystery boy left me? No way! I just met him and still didn't ask for his name. "Do you like him?" my mind asked me, in the middle of this chaos. "No!" I said absentmindedly. "What no?" came the voice. "Nina?" I asked her as I turned to look at them. "What took you so long guys? I was worried sick about you!" I questioned them.
                     "There there.... Quinn, you sound just like my mom" Nina chuckled as Katie closed her mouth and laughed. "I'm serious guys. What took you 15 minutes to get here?" I deadpanned. "I'll answer that" said Katie, "Actually, I found Nina by searching her for like 5 minutes. I explained about your situation and brought her here. In the middle of no where, a guy named, I don't remember now, asked m-" "It must be Felix" piped in Nina. "Yeah, something like that, asked me about you and I explained about your situation again and he wanted to see you. I warned him not to come because you wanted to be alone. So this conversation happened for about 10 minutes, that's the real reason we were late" she concluded. "Okay, let's eat guys" I said and we three ate together peacefully in our own bubble.
                   As I described earlier, the classes were very good at being boring except for science lab. It was so good and so amazing. At last, my first day came to an end. Some of them didn't care to call me by name, as they called me, 'New girl' But that was way more better than.... "Stop it" my mind yelled at me. I'm so stupid to tell you this but my mind (i.e) the inner me is way more better than the outer me. Have you ever felt like this? "Hey Fire!" that voice pulled me from my thoughts. "Hey Felix" I said back. "Watch your step. Geez, what's gotten into you?" he asked with face full of concern. His lilac blue eyes locked with mine for more than a second. My heart started beating rapidly and I thought it would jump from my ribcage.
I broke our eye contact by turning my head in front of me to see where I was heading and..... yes, I was about to hit my head on the entrance door. "I'm sorry" I said. "No! I mean, why are you asking me sorry? It's probably your first day and you got zoned out" he chuckled. "Yeah, you got me" I smiled while my cheeks remained flushed. Felix was really a stress buster. He quickly made my problems to hide. I glanced at him, sideways as he was saying something to me, just an effort to make me laugh. I smiled at his kind gesture. "So, could you drop me at my place?" Felix asked me. "Umm" I internally panicked cause he was a complete stranger to me. "No you idiot," my mind scolded me and continued, "he lives next to your house and additionally he knows your name and so does you" it said. Well I have an amazing mind with me! "Sure Felix. Hop on" I said.
I opened out the door for him, "Like a gentleman" Felix said and I chuckled. "Then make yourself comfortable missy" I teased, as a response his face turned out to a deep shade of red and the look on his face made me laugh so hard that tears started to fall from my eyes. "Enough of it" he said, still embarrassed. "Okay no offense" I choked out, trying to control my laughter but it went in vain. At once I started driving when my laugh had died down. Then I spoke up, "Thank you Felix" "For what? Is it for making you laugh?" He pouted. I smiled and answered him, "No, it was for checking up on me after my fight with Vanessa" "Oh, I didn't expect that" he said as I peeked at him only to find the ghost of a smile on his lips.
Suddenly, he touched my wrist, which lied on the gear, and trailed his fingers around my lucky charm. "Like what you see?" I asked him with my eyes fixed on the road. "It's beautiful, like it's been a perfect match for you" he complimented me. "I'm totally flattered" I smiled. "Can I turn the radio on?" He asked me politely. "No!" I said sternly trying my best not to laugh. I failed in it and laughed hysterically because of the look on his face. "Felix, you're my friend now, so you can do anything except for making my car dirty cause I'll make you clean it for free" he chuckled. "Okay" he said and turned on the radio. With windows rolled up, we both sang Taylor Swift's song, Me! "Woah Quinn, you have a wonderful voice" he exclaimed. "Not that you aren't Felix" I said.
                  Finally, his house was down the street. We reached there first, to drop him of course. "Bye then" he said. "How do you go to school?" I questioned him "Walking?" "Do you mind if I take you to school?" I asked him. He to a minute to ponder on my words and said, "No Quinn, I don't want to trouble you" he politely said. "It's okay... We're friends now and practically going to the same school. In addition to that, we're neighbors! So it's not a problem for me" I insisted again. "Ahh, okay. Thank you" he said. "No thank you between friends" I said as I reversed my car. As he walked up to his door, I called out, "Felix! Don't forget to bring your helmet tomorrow" he chuckled and nodded his head.
                  As expected, no one was there in my house when I came back home. I left my car keys in the stand and dropped my bag on the sofa and headed to my room. I quickly took a shower and changed to my tee and leggings. I came back to my living room and played Captain Marvel on T.V. Then I went to the kitchen to make caramel popcorns and took the box of chocolate ice-cream. When the popcorn was ready, I placed them on the table and started watching the movie. All of a sudden in the middle of the movie, I could hear a whining sound. Don't mistake me, actually I have a sharp sense of hearing. It's like a benefit for being a legan, I guess. I can only hear those ultra sounds when my body senses any dire situation.
A loud crash was heard outside. I bolted across the room and unlocked the door. All I could see was, broken flower pots, scratches and a small creature on my door step.
