Felix P.O.V.
I was astounded, bewildered and add all those words that come along that way! How on Earth could this happen? "I..I, don't know what to say" I replied very confused. How did she even manage the situation on her own? God knows it all! "Why didn't you ask for help?" I asked her and she gave me a deadpanned look. "Are you serious?" she scoffed. "If you haven't confronted me about my elements, I wouldn't have told you all about this" she stated. Ah.. I should have known. He was all she was talking about. She had stars in her beautiful eyes whenever she talked about him. I gripped my hand together and saw them turning white. I should be the one to make her starry eyed lovely girl and not that bustard!!
How dare he try to woo her in my absence? Not exactly in my absence, but then I couldn't see him, right? It's my damn fate! "I don't know whether they're in search of me or him" she sadly said. "Definitely for him" I said as I swallowed my anger. She wants to help him, that's fine for me but I don't want to! If I do so, then I'll be making the same old mistake. "Do you know how to cure him?" I asked her, straining my voice to speak out even if I hated it. But as usual, she didn't acknowledge my tension. Typical Merida!! She bit her lower lip as her eyebrows made a beautiful V shape on her forehead. "I..I don't know how. He gets angry when I get near those personal questions!" she shrieked. How dare he!! How the hell can he get angry on my Merida!!
A small snarl escaped from my lips and at the same time, I could hear the faint rumbling of thunder... "Okay okay, calm down Quinn. We'll think of something" I told her as I took her small hands in mine. "I'll never leave your side Merida, remember that. No matter what happens to me, I'll stand in front of you and together we'll face the problems sweet heart, okay?" I told her with sincerity. She smiled as she nodded and I pulled her into a hug, which she accepted. Her heart was a bit calm now and she whispered, "Thanks Max. It means a lot to me now cause, I can't run to my parents for help and make them even more worried about me" I hummed in happiness. "One step closer than before" I thought and smiled in content.
"Help yourself!" she chirped as she dug into her spicy noodles. "I'll pass" I shrugged my shoulders. "You're missing it" she smiled as she pointed her chopstick towards my direction. "Here, eat it... C'mon!" she urged me. She looked so cute when she pouted as she tried to persuade me to eat when I was in the mid-way to change my mind. But, it was not healthy to eat human food thereby, I have to puke my guts out later. "Yes" I said and she fed me some of her 'spicy noodles' which tasted like dust and grime. Instead, I smiled and said, "It's amazing!!" "Isn't it?" she said as she gulped down the remaining contents in her box. Our sweet bubble was soon ended by the sound of a car whirring.
"Your parents are here" "My parents are-" she stopped mid-sentence. Shit!! We both said it at the same time... "How did you-" Crap!! "Jinx Merida!!" I chuckled nervously. "Yeah" she smiled. Woosh! I'm saved!! I'm sorry Merida, when the time permits, I'll reveal myself but not just now... Her dad opened the lock and said, "Please keep it safely in your locker honey. We should not expose it in front of M-" By this time they came in and saw us. "Hi mum" she greeted them. What should not be exposed in front of her? What are they hiding from her? "How are you here? What is he doing here?" her mum was baffled. Her dad gritted his teeth as soon as he spotted me.
"Absent from school?" her mum was annoyed by now. "What were you thinking?" she heaved a sigh. "I just c-" "You cut school?" her dad interrupted her but he was ... happy? Why was he happy? Merida nodded. "Cool! Hey I never thought you -" he stopped talking as he saw Merry's mum giving him 'the look'. He then cleared his throat and said "I mean", his posture got rigid and tensed. "I'm so disappointed in you Merida" But his face told another story.... It held proudness of his daughter. "What were you thinking when you skipped school?" I could totally read his face, 'You should've asked your teacher to message me instead' "We've raised you better than this!" 'Punch the teacher next time' Her fam is so cool!!
She gave an knowing smile to her dad. Guess she understood what her dad was trying to say. Her mum massaged her forehead in vain. A smile almost threatened to spill on my face because her dad was in great trouble. But I maintained my façade pretty well. "Make sure this doesn't happen again" Her mum said in such a defeated tone. She smiled at me and said, "Sorry for the chaos Felix. It's usually not like this" "Yes Felix, it's usually not like this but when you stepped in here, it-" "Dad!!" Guess her dad hates me to the core... I gulped down nervously after giving them a smile. "I'm sorry Felix" Merida apologized. "Not a problem. Wish I had parents like yours" I said as I reminisced my own. The room got silent as the temperature dropped.
Shit.... I abruptly turned to her slumped figure. "Hey, your parents are cool, man! Everyone would wish for them" I added trying to make her cheerful again. "Stupid" my mind yelled at me. Thankfully her dad spoke up, "Well, I too would like to have you as my son if it saves me from getting you as my son-in-law" I... I didn't expect it from him. Merida's cheeks flushed red as she exclaimed "Dad!! Not here not now" "Okay okay tiger... Just kidding" he chuckled. Then she pulled me out from her living room and in seconds we were out of her house. "Dad, we'll be back afternoon" she called out. "Are you going out dressed like that?" he asked her.
Her dad was standing near the door frame watching us. She went up to him and that was when I realized that he was more muscular than I thought. His tall bulk body covered her fragile moderate figure. She wore a plain black tank top with ripped button up jeans but it looked great on her as it hugged her beautiful self. Her dad was right, she can't wear this outside. "Here" her dad shoved a flannel in her hands and she sheepishly wore it. She kissed his cheeks and said, "I'll be back earlier" She started her bike and took off with a great speed. "Where are we going?" I asked her. "I never thought I'll be ending up there but still, I have to see some things up" "You still didn't tell me where" I stated. "You'll see" she said.
I was shocked to see where we finally ended. Is she serious? Not here.... If that lady was here like the last time, I'm so screwed... Why me and why this place? Out of all the place she had to choose this!!! "Why are you standing there Felix? C'mon in" She pulled my hand. She's literally pulling me to her death. "A-Are you sure on this one?" I asked her again. "100%" she smiled as she pulled me to the fortune teller.
