Fate's Play

I found the panacea!

Discarding other thoughts, I went to my room and quickly changed into a tank top and ripped jeans. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Nora's envelope on my desk. "Not now" I thought, before I could distract my plans. Pulling my coat closer to my body, I slipped my feet into combat shoes. Running down the stairs, I yelled, "I'm going to the library, mom!" "When will you be back, baby?" she questioned when I entered the living room to take my bag. "I'll be back by six max" I said, planning the schedule on my mind. Just three important things. Reach the library, search information and the last thing is to find the solution. Just three things to bring him back to life. Huh! Such a difficult task to complete but I didn't say it's impossible...

Just then I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door to see Felix standing with his hands in his coat's pocket. He looked great in black tee as it was complete opposite to his pale face. He was leaning on the door frame while humming a tune. He smiled when his eyes met mine. "Come in" I said as I moved aside from the door. "Where are your friends?" he asked me still standing outside. "They left earlier at one Felix" I said. If he isn't going to come inside, I'll take him out with me. "Okay" he was still outside. "So, do you have any plans now?" I asked him as I closed the door behind my back. "Nope" he shrugged and asked me, "You're going out?" "Yeah" "Where?" I started to walk towards my motorbike. "To the library... Will you join me?" I asked. "Yes"

"What are you reading about?" he asked me while his eyes said another thing. Oh my God!!! Did he find out about him? If he did, then he might think I'm mentally disturbed or something... Crap! I must answer him now.

"The.. the binding of this book g-gained my interest!" I chuckled moreover stammered breaking eye contact with him. He sat next to me pulling the chair even closer. I inhaled his mint lime cologne as he whispered, "You look good with your hair down" "Uh?" I asked as I didn't pay attention to what he said. He couldn't have said that, am I right? I regained from my thoughts as I tried to figure out what he said. "I prefer your hair down" he said as he pulled out my band which held my hair in place. Suddenly I could feel some warmth up in my chest. What the hell is happening to me and why am I reacting like this? How is he able to mess up my emotions easily?

He tucked my single strand of hair behind my ear. I felt those tingles in my stomach again and couldn't comprehend as to why I felt that... It was as if his eyes held me in his captive. Those blue lilac eyes were telling me something that his words couldn't say. I was confused as I fell out of his strong trance. He was there. Crap! Remi was standing in the corner behind the bookstand and was watching us. He was so furious and I was glad he didn't emit any smoke or cause any commotion. But why was he angry? I should do something before he brings any harm to Felix. "Felix, I have to go to that shelf to get some books" I said as I stood up. Realization hit his face as he shook his head and muttered, "Sorry" as he backed off.

"I'm sorry!" I whisper yelled. "The fault is mine... I kinda got distracted.. Um, sorry" he sincerely apologized but I was still red in embarrassment. What was I doing? If I hadn't seen Jeremy, then I would have done something which would have been regretted my whole life. Oh God! What is wrong with me? I love Remi who is a spirit but also have feelings for Felix? My life is the worst one ever... Is fate so cruel or was it my luck to get stuck between them? If anything else boy related happens to me, after this episode, I could be the star to my own TV show. I saw hurt in Felix's eyes as he walked away. "Wait" I whispered. "You want something?" he asked me without making eye contact.

"Felix, you're my best friend. I'm scared that this would make us feel awkward. So can we just forget about it and move forward? Please?" I begged. "Okay" he said as I saw sadness in his eyes. Just then I caught a glimpse of my memories where he smiled brokenheartedly as I went with Remi in his car. "I... I'm going to go and start your bike cause it's almost six. So better hurry up" "Okay" I said as I saw him walk away from me. I felt so disheartened suddenly as he left the room. You know the feeling when you want to scream and cry but can't because everyone is here, so you stay silent and control your emotions? Well, I'm in that mood for no reason.

"Where were you all these days?" I asked him swallowing the big lump in my throat as he came closer to me. "I want you to help me but please don't ask me to explain because... I can't" he said this in a fearful hushed tone. "I'll see you soon, rest" he said as he started to vanish. What the heck? Doesn't he understand that he's not helping the situation? "Okay, night" I said, utterly confused. Why is he scared and of whom? "Stay away from him" the voice said as it left a cold shiver on my shoulder. He was gone before I knew it, leaving me with the same questions that plagued my mind constantly. In addition to this I felt a strange feeling that I was being watched...

Strange day isn't it? With the info I have gathered, I will find a way to put a stop to all this drama....

A/N:

So what's gonna happen to her life? I would say she is suffering so badly due to her so called fate... Will she overcome this?
