"Ugh!! Arranging things is so damn difficult!" I said as I folded my last shirt and placed it in my shelf. I closed my wardrobe and took my to do list. "Shoes - arranged, Jewelry- done, Books - arranged, Toiletries - arranged, Clothes -done and last but not the least stationary things - done. "Finally, I'm getting some time to spend for myself !!!" I whispered cheerfully. I took my wallet, phone and glanced at my new room. "Hope mum loves it" I said as I was pleased with the way I had arranged it. I closed the door behind my back and headed down the stairs. "Oh my.." I almost yelled as I had consumed way more time to organize my room. It was almost four. "I should probably wake her up if she wants to be saved from jet-lag" I thought. I found her peacefully sleeping on the couch again as soft snores were heard in the living room. "What about some coffee and then I'll wake her up" I pondered and it seemed to be a great idea after all.
When I reached for my keys in the holder, the place was empty which meant that it wasn't there. I searched for them but it was nowhere to be found. "Oh shoot! Where the hell did I misplaced them?" I cursed at myself. What can I do? That's the only thing I know or I'm good at! Since I couldn't wake my mum up, I scanned the whole place for my damn key. The pillows were moved, newspapers were shaken and the luggage was also moved but still, no sign of my keys. Suddenly my clever mind spoke up, "You idiot, you left some food on the counter, didn't you? Go and check it out" Given the orders, my feet pulled me to the kitchen and found my bag sitting on the counter. Still my key wasn't found, so my bag was taken from my view and Bravo! My key was found. I did a small victory dance and patted myself. From the corner of my eye, I could see something moving along with me. When I turned around, I saw something incredible and I couldn't trust my eyes.
"Holy Jesus!" my mouth whispered on its own. I moved to my right, it did the same and when I moved to the left, it did the same too. "My God! My third element- Telekinesis has kicked in so fast" my mind quickly concluded that the movement of the pillows, newspaper and the luggage were due to my third element. I got freaked out since my element turned up earlier a month. Suddenly, those stuffs fell down in unison. I grabbed my keys and jolted out from my house. I needed some air, space and time to take in the fact that I had got my element. I decided to go to the park which was just 2 blocks away from my house and roared my bike to life.
I reached the park in five minutes, parked the bike and headed straight for the swing. It was so silent that my own footsteps got on my nerves. Not a single soul was there. But looking on the bright side, the park overlooked the forest behind it. I took in all the surroundings and decided to call Mel but I couldn't reach her so I dialled Renita's numéro and waited for her to answer my call. "Hey Quinn, took too long to call me?" she asked me in a hushed tone. "Shoot! She's in school" I thought. "Umm, sorry dude! I've reached my house and please in-" "Hold on a sec, dude" with that she ended my call. To my horror, my phone switched off right at the moment as if nothing else good would happen to me period. "What the heck man!!" I yelled frustratedly which made the sparrows around me to fly away hurriedly "You need any help?" A voice from behind me asked. "Woah!" I got scared and dropped my phone. "Why can't you ask that question in front of my face?" I snapped.
"Oops, sorry! Did I scare you?" the voice, now in front of me, asked me. In the mean time I bent over to pick up my phone and it had cracked on its corner. "Way to go Quinn" I muttered. "It's an obvious fact" I replied to him. "I'm sorry, what happened to your phone?" I frowned and stood up as I dusted the dust off from my dress to meet his soft forest green eyes. His jet black hair stuck to his eyes that I fought the urge to push it for him. I found myself staring at him for so long so I became embarrassed. "Umm.. My phone cracked" I replied as my blood rushed to my face. "I'm so sor-" "Oh just stop.. it's okay. You're asking sorry for the third time" I interrupted him with a smile. Those dreamy eyes belonged to a cute boy who wore a hoodie and track pants. He smiled and asked me, "Your name?" "Oh, I'm Quinn. I'm sorry for speaking to you like that earlier cause the first person, I've ever got to speak in this town, scared me and you're next" I explained myself politely. "Sorry sorry" he held up his hand. "I'm not gonna repeat it next time"
"Next time?" I asked him. "Umm, yes of course" He said as his cheeks flushed red. The silence was not awkward but I'm sure, I had to do something before I think of ruining my reputation. "Okay then, hope you find me soon" I said as I checked the time. "Won't you wish me good luck?" came the reply. "Yeah, good luck on that!" I chuckled and made my way to my Harley. "What a day to go, Quinn!" my damn mind reminded me.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
