(Y/N POV)
It was late. I had work tomorrow, it's just for some reason I couldn't sleep. Looking out my apartment window I noticed it was snowing. Knowing the weather it'll probably cold tomorrow, I'll make some coffee for customers. The snow began falling heavier. Watching it fall is pretty calming. Maybe I should just go for a walk and get myself tired. Ya that sounds like a good idea. Getting up from my rather comfy bed I grabbed a hat, a coat, my Salomon boots and my AirPods.

I put them all on before going out into the cold."The streets are really pretty when they're empty." I said to myself as I decided what song to play on my phone.(Your choice)I landed on one before pressing play. The small snow flakes hit my face as I made my way down the sidewalk. Lights flickering on in a shop grabbed my attention. It was a coffee shop. The sign read "Anteiku". Looking at the door a small sign said open. Wonder what they're open this late for. Well I'm probably not gonna sleep anyway so a coffee wouldn't hurt.

Checking my pocket I had about 300 yen. That should be enough. I entered to be hit by the pleasing aroma of freshly brewed coffee. A small bell rung as I opened the door. Looking around the place was plain and simple giving off a comfortable vibe. I sat myself at a table as one of the workers came out. The worker was a girl who seemed to be no older than nineteen. She had short violet hair with matching eyes. Only one word could describe her. Beautiful."What would you like sir?" She asked with a warm smile breaking me out of my trance.

"Just a straight black coffee please." She seemed to be surprised a little by my Japanese. With a smile she nodded and went behind the counter. I watched as the woman poured the hot beverage. Her eyes met mine and causing both of us to lightly blush. When she finished she brought the cup over."Thank you." The coffee itself smelt amazing, after taking a sip it tasted even more amazing than it smelt."Maybe I'll have to come around here more if your coffee is this good." This seemed to please her as she smiled a bit more."Thank you."

After drinking the coffee I paid what I owed and headed out. The cold air hit me like a brick once I stepped out. This night reminds me of the night I found my parents. It was cold and snowing. After they were murdered I was sent with my aunt and that wasn't the greatest. Now I really have no one. No one would miss me. No one would care if I was gone. I'm just tired of being alone.
(Touka's POV)
As I cleaned the dishes up that ass wipe Nishiki came down and yawned."Saw you flirting with that customer." This damn bastard."I was not you idiot! Now go back to your room I'm trying to finish closing up here shithead!" He only chuckled before going back up to his apartment. Closing up the shop is different without Kaneki around. Usually I'd hear the occasional breaking of a plate then him apologize.

Then I'd end up scolding him. Maybe if I'd been nicer to him he'd realize how I felt. Maybe if I had just told him he would've stayed. There's nothing I can do now. After closing up I went to my apartment and got myself ready for bed. My room was kinda cold. Looking out the window I watched as the snow slowly piled up on the street. Kaneki I hope you're okay out there you big idiot. Only if I was strong enough to go after you. Hot angry tears flowed down my face. I can't stop crying over that stupid bastard.

You left me alone. I don't like being alone. Pulling my rabbit plushie close to my chest I sobbed. No matter what I do he won't come back. Even if I confessed he probably wouldn't come back. He'd probably say the same bullshit like last time about how he needed to get stronger to protect us. How can that bastard even protect us if he's not even here? Maybe it's time to move on. I'm tired of feeling like this all the time. There's no point in being sad over him if he's not coming back. Get your shit together Touka. You'll find someone else in the future.
(Y/N POV)
As I walked back to my apartment that waitress popped into my thoughts. She was really pretty and seemed nice. Maybe I should go there for lunch tomorrow during my break. It's about time I get some sleep though. Once I got in I stripped down to my boxers before hopping into bed. My eyes slowly began to shut before I drifted off to sleep. As morning came, the heavy dark clouds blocked the sun out. My loud alarm from my phone awoke me.

I felt drained but there's nothing caffeine can't fix. After a little coffee and some toast I got showered and ready for the day. I opened up shop at the usual time which was about 8:30. Mornings were usually slow and this one was no different. Other than the occasional customer there weren't many. The bell from the door rang as someone entered. It was the pretty waitress from last night.
