Part Four:Flirting

Waking up felt horrible. It felt as if a truck had hit me, maybe I just slept funny. Looking outside the snow seemed to have piled up a little more. Sighing I got up and poured myself a cup of coffee. Last night was nice. Touka. She's the only thing on my mind nowadays, not that I'm complaining though. My phone buzzed from a notification.
Touka:Hey me and my friend Yoriko are going to an amusement park in two hours do you maybe wanna come with us?
Y/N:Ya sounds fun just stop by at my apartment whenever you guys head out
Touka:Alright see you then ◕‿‿◕｡)づ
I finished up my coffee, ate some breakfast then hopped in the shower. Once out I dried off then got dressed. My outfit consisted of a brown winter coat, a hoodie that went under my coat, some jeans and my trusty Salomon boots. Looking through my mess of a closet I pulled out a beanie and sat it aside. I guess it's time to wait now.
(Touka's POV)
"Touka-Chan come on and invite him!" Yoriko squealed and tugged on my arm. We had planned on heading to a nearby amusement park today."No you idiot I doubt he'll wanna come." He probably has better things to do but he did say he could hangout during the day."Come on just do it. I'm sure he'll say yes. Plus it'd be nice having a new friend then we could be a little group." Damn it why is she so hyper? I sighed before pulling out my phone and texted him. After an agonizing one minute of silence he responded and said he'd go. My heart felt like it exploded."He said he'd go." Yoriko squealed and punched my shoulder."If only I weren't going then it'd be like a little date for you two hah." My face felt hotter than ever."Touka-Chan just make a move soon before some other girl does." Ugh she's right I have to do something."Alright alright I'll try. You're fault if he says something bad." Once the time for us to go came we walked over to his apartment. I took a deep breath before knocking on the door."Hey you guys ready to go?" For some damn reason I blushed but said,"Ya but we better hurry if we wanna catch a train." Y/N then dangled a pair of keys in front of me."We can just drive dumby." He has a car? Dang I've never had enough money to get one. Wonder what kind it is."Oh okay then let's get going." Once we stepped outside a strong gust of wind mixed with snow hit us."You guys chose a cold ass day for an amusement park." We walked to his car which was a Jeep Wrangler."Alright let's get going."
(Third Person)
The car ride was more fun than Touka expected. Y/N and Yoriko were laughing and joking around. Maybe this can be a small friend group she thought to herself."So tell me what's life like in the USA? Is Hollywood as awesome as everyone says?! I've always wanted to visit." He seemed to laugh a little at that."Ya Hollywood is a shit hole. It's just overall super dirty and there's a bunch of crackheads there." That seemed to kill Yoriko's mood."But don't worry there's a bunch of other places that are better. My favorite place has to be Seattle. It's really nice and cold. Plus it's always raining there haha." When they made it to the amusement park Y/N paid for their tickets before going in. The park was practically empty considering it was snowing."Ahhh what should we go on first?!" With a smirk Yoriko pointed to a large roller coaster. Her violet haired friend's face went pale."Hey you know I hate heights!" Touka said a little nervously."Come on let's go. If it makes you more comfortable you can sit next to Y/N-Kun." Y/N watches as her face went a deep shade of red. He laughed and grabbed their arms."Come on let's gooo." As they walked closer to the roller coaster Touka's stomach felt like it was in knots."Let's sit together in the front Touka-Chan." That made her feel worse but at least she was sitting next to him. Yoriko sat behind them giggling to herself. Snow hit their face as the cart slowly went upwards."So you're afraid of heights?" Holding on tightly to the cart, she nodded."W-What about you? H-How come y-you're not afraid?" Y/N chuckled a little."Well when you jump out of airplanes for a living you learn fairly quickly to lose that fear." Eventually the top of the steep hill the roller coaster climbed came close. Touka's anxiety was through the roof. Out of instinct she grabbed Y/N's hand before the cart dropped. It made twists and turns at high speeds. Both Y/N and Yoriko were having the time of their lives while Touka was screaming. Eventually she learned to like it but the ride came to an end. The three left the ride laughing."Our photos looked hilarious. What should we go on next?" Ride after ride the small group rode almost every ride in the park."Alright this is the last one. The Ferris wheel. You sure you won't be scared of this one Touka-Chan?" Y/N jokes nudging her arm."Shut up idiot." As the two joked around a small idea popped into Yoriko's head."Hey guys my stomach isn't feeling to good. I'm gonna head to a bathroom you guys go on without me." Touka fully knowing her plan blushed. Y/N shrugged before walking towards the ride."You coming?" He asked before she followed. Their little cart eventually stopped where they got an amazing view. The sun peaked through the clouds. It was beautiful."Why are you so nervous Touka-Chan?" He questioned rubbing his hands together for warmth."Oh uhm it's nothing." They say their admiring the view in silence before a ray of sun lightly shone on Touka. Y/N admired the beauty in front of him. Her skin seemed to glisten in the light."You look really beautiful in the sunlight Touka-Chan." It took a moment for her to process the compliment before she turned bright red."Oh uhm t-thanks. You look good to." A comfortable silence came over them as the ride slowly came to an end. Yoriko waited at the bottom with a huge smirk."Alright let's get going before it gets dark." The three walked back to the Jeep where they put the heater on full blast."Ah that feels better." Touka and Y/N said in unison making them laugh."I had fun hanging out with you guys. Maybe I'll have to join this little friend group."
(Y/N POV)
We dropped Yoriko off at her apartment before heading over to Touka's."Thanks for the ride." As she exited the car I rolled down my window."Hey Touka-Chan thanks for inviting me, I had fun. We should hangout more." With a smile she nodded and walked to her apartment. That was fun. But I really should've made a move instead of just complimenting her. Although she had a good reaction to it. Plus she complimented me back. Damn I really suck at flirting. By the time I got back to my apartment it was about seven. When I got in I took a shower before hopping in bed. My bed has never felt more cozy. Looking over at my phone I saw a message.
Touka: Hey when do you think we could hangout again? (｡◕‿‿◕｡)
Y/N:I'm free this whole weekend so I can whenever you're free
Touka:Well Yoriko and I are gonna have a movie night at my place at nine tomorrow night do you wanna come?
Y/N:Sure I'll be there, anyways I'm gonna head to sleep I'm tired as hell
Touka:Lol okay Goodnight dummy
Y/N:Goodnight

(Y/N POV)
I had just gotten out of the shower. Looking through some clothes I decided on a hoodie and some warm sweats. After slipping into my shoes I headed over to Touka's. When I knocked I heard a few voices behind the door before it opened."Hey come in." Touka said moving aside letting me in."So what movies are we gonna watch?" Yoriko who was sitting on a couch wrapped in a blanket sighed,"Scary movies." She looks a little nervous,"What, do you not like scary movies? Are you scared?" I asked jokingly."I am not. T-They just make me feel funny." Both Touka and I laughed before sitting next to each other on the couch. She turned on her TV then and put on Netflix. Eventually we decided on the movie The Tall Grass. As the movie progressed Yoriko munched on popcorn scared as to what'll happen next. Eventually a jumpscare came scaring the two girls. Touka flinched and grabbed my arm. Surprisingly she didn't let go until the movie ended."Alright that was fun. I guess it's time for me to head out." I said stretching my back before getting up."Hold on you big idiot we're still gonna hangout for a little and talk." Chuckling, I sat back down."Well what're we talking about then?" Yoriko the emerged from under blanket."How about relationship stories?" Damn I haven't had one for a couple years."I've got a good few but I've got one in particular that's pretty decent I'd say." The girls leaned in closer as if interested in my story."Well it was I wanna say maybe four years ago. I was dating this one girl named Sam. I had met her at a bar and we dated for a year before she moved into my apartment. This was when I was in the Army so I was going on long deployments. I had come back early from one so I decided to surprise Sam. Went in to my apartment to find her in my bed with some dude. I was kind and let him out with his things before I put all of her things in a trash bag before throwing it over the balcony of the apartment." They looked at me with a little shock."Thats how most of my relationships ended to be honest. That brought me down pretty bad but I decided to focus on myself rather than a relationship. Ever since then I haven't been in one but I've never felt happier. But now I'm even happier that I've got some new friends." Their faces widened with smiles."Well what about you Yoriko? You ever been in a relationship?" I questioned nudging her arm a bit."One that's lasted more than a week? No she has not." Touka said causing her friend to pout and blush."You're one to talk Touka-Chan you haven't even been in a relationship with a guy." Well things just got real."Shut up I don't need a guy to make me happy." Well I mean she's right."What about that Kaneki guy? Did you guys ever get together before he left?" This seemed to bring her down."No nothing ever happened. I never made a move. I wish I could go back and change that but I can't. But like dummy here said I can't let someone drag me down. I gotta focus on myself." We talked and gossiped for another hour before it was time for us to go."Well I had fun, see ya Touka-Chan." I gave her a hug, not to tight, not to loose, before leaving. Her face was bright red."Ya I guess I'll see you sometime soon." With that I went back to my apartment. That was fun. It's been awhile since I've had a friend group. Maybe I'll stick around for awhile.
