"Hey Faith!" Louis yelled to me while waving his hand in the air after I entered a large, packed house. I waved back and faked a smile while trying not to get knocked over by the individuals crowding the living room I was standing in. People were everywhere, music was blaring, and red-solo cups dispersed around the house in a messy way. I weaved my body through the unknown people towards the kitchen and as I did that, everyone waved to me and said hello as if they were close friends, yet I didn't recognize any of their faces.
"Faith, you came!" Eleanor's friendly face came into view as her arms opened wide for a hug. I gave her a confused expression before walking into them and holding her in an embrace. "I didn't think you were going to come." She said to me once we broke apart.
"Why wouldn't I come?" I asked her, even though I had no idea where I was.
"Because," She rubbed her arm awkwardly as she searched for the right words. "Harry is here and-"
"-So?" I raise my eyebrow and cut her off. She smiled at my reply.
"Thats the enthusiasm I was hoping for." She gave me a positive head nod.
"Right," I spoke and started to back up slowly. "Well, I'm going to go find Crystal." She nodded her head and I waved goodbye before walking off. That was weird.
I strolled out of the kitchen and into the living room. Then I smiled at some people and weaved through the space, looking for my best friend. Finally, after looking for about five minutes, I spot long, blonde hair. Her back was to me and I noticed that she was talking to Harry. I smiled at my best friend and boyfriend being together before walking towards them. As I got closer, so did their bodies. I felt a small pang in my chest at that sight, but knew Crystal or Harry would never do anything to hurt me like that.
Once I finally reached them, their lips met. They didn't see me standing there and my stomach fell to the floor at the sight of them kissing. I couldn't believe Crystal nor Harry would do this to me. Crystal isn't the kind of friend that would hit on my boyfriend or even cheat on hers, which got me confused. The confusion soon ended when I realized it wasn't Crystal, it was Madison.
I sat up and breathed heavily, taking in my surroundings. I was on a futon in Harry's small game room with a fluffy comforter on top of me. Sweat was covering my forehead while my hair stuck to it and small tears pricked the corners of my eyes. I quickly wiped them away and sighed in relief once I registered it was only just a dream. I then realized my phone was buzzing and was the cause of me waking up.
"Hello?" I breathed into the phone.
"Hey, why haven't you called me?" Crystal greeted then got straight to the cause of her call. I sighed and rubbed my eyes, removing the sleep from them.
"It slipped my mind." I tell her before looking at the clock above the television. 6:00 a.m. "Crystal, isn't it midnight in Illinois right now?" I ask her.
"Yeah," She paused. "And I was suspecting a call before then."
"I was too busy crying myself to sleep last night, which is why I didn't call you." I explain myself.
"What do you mean last night? Its still night time," She paused. "And why were you crying?"
"Actually, its six in the morning in Cheshire and you're ruining my beauty sleep." I tell her, dodging her second question.
"I totally forgot there is a time difference! I am so sorry for waking you up!"
"Its fine. I was having a bad dream anyway." I tell her, pushing a strand of my hair behind my ear.
