Sharing Rooms

The taxi pulled up to our hotel. It was huge and looked super fancy. I still couldn't believe Miss Kate's efforts to get us in to this event in the first place. This was so amazing and the fact I was spending it with all of my friends and James even made it better. James walked me up to the front desk along with Giselle and Thalia. They were laughing and I branched off with them while James checked us all in. Who knows where West was with the others.
"C'mon," James said pulling his suitcase towards the elevator after a few minutes and we followed him. After we got in the elevator he pulled out a piece of paper and turned it upside down a few times and finally knew what he was reading or doing.

"Giselle and Thal, you can share a room because there's two beds..." He said looking up and then looked at me.
"And then it's me and you," he said with a smile.
"What?" I asked confused. I didn't have a clue we were sharing a room.
"Ooh!" Giselle sang like elementary school kids would do.
"What do you mean what?" James asked worriedly.
"I just didn't know that," I said getting quieter realizing the others were still there too.
"Riley, you can join our slumber party if you want?" Thalia chimed in knowing that I was probably uncomfortable with sharing a room with James.
"I'll think about it," I said and then looked back at James.
"I told you before and-" James started.
"We'll discuss it when we get to the room." I said saving the argument away from other people. When we got up to the room I put my suitcase down and sat on the bed while James stood and looked at me.

"I asked you before at my house and you said it was fine," he said. I moved side to side on the bed nervously and uncomfortably.
"I didn't know," I said shrugging. I really didn't want to fight because this was James's time not mine.
"Well we've slept together before. Actually, all the time!" He said with some sass in his voice and I raised an eyebrow.
"I forgot, I'm sorry, I just-" I stopped because James's expression changed from upset to furious. I was scared for a split second.
"You know what, just join their slumber party!" James said pointing to the door. He said it so sarcastically and mockingly. I grabbed the handle of my suitcase. I felt my eyes get glassy and I knew I was about to cry.
"This was supposed to be my time. I just thought we could do stuff normal boyfriend girlfriend couples do but you're far from normal," James spat out. I was shocked at what he had just said. I gasped loudly and walked to the door of the room. I let a tear drip from my eye as I reached the door and turned the handle. I couldn't take it anymore. The yelling deafened my ears. I slowly pulled my suitcase behind me, sobbing down the hall until I got to Giselle and Thalia's room. I knocked three times on the door and Thalia answered it.

"Hey! Did you decide to come-" she stopped as she realized I was crying and she immediately hugged me. Giselle came to the door too and I was sandwiched in between them both in a tight bear hug.
"Riley, come in," Giselle said and I pulled my suitcase in and set it down beside one of the beds and I sat on the little couch by the window. Thalia sat on the chair across from me and Giselle sat on the arm of the chair. It was really quite uncomfortable because I just barged in on them and I'm taking up the couch while I cry my eyes out in front of them.
"It was James, wasn't it?" Thalia said and then frowned. I nodded my head and explained everything that just went down and surprisingly my eyes stayed dry.

"Riley, he's no good for you if that's how he is." Giselle said scrunching her nose.

"Agreed." Thalia said and shook her head.

"But I love him." I said.

"Hopefully things will workout then." Giselle said and smiled.

"I hope so," I said fiddling with my fingers.

"Why don't you get some sleep?" Thalia suggested pulling a blanket off the back of her chair she was sitting on and she threw it in my direction.

"Thanks guys." I said and shut my eyes as I laid down on the quite comfortable couch.

I was so afraid to have to face James tomorrow. I went to sleep, hoping I could sleep the next few days away but I know I'd just forgive him in a heartbeat like I always did and everything would work out.

"Goodnight," we all said and shut the lights off.
