James POV
Riley was holding my hand and we were walking through the park.
"Can't believe you passed your driving test," she laughed.
"Never know with me. It's because I really tried." I said leaning in for a kiss on the cheek. But of course she let go of my hand and pulled back. She just wasn't ready. But I was okay with that. I still hadn't finished the list she gave me. A deal is a deal though. She looked confused.
"Sorry," I said, thinking she was creeped out i tried to kiss her.
"It's not you, James. Something's just on my mind." She said waddling around.
"What's up then?" I asked stopping in the middle of the paved path.
"Don't worry about it," she teased, clearly mocking and imitating me.
Riley's POV
I was thinking about the plan with Amanda. Emily's plan. Our plan. She hadn't gave me too much information but it seemed well. She hid the costumes but tricked Amanda into West finding them. It was all her though. I couldn't tell James. It was just our little evil plan.
"Well if you don't wanna tell me..." He said sounding upset on purpose.
"I can't. Anyway, I should head home," I said changing the topic but also being realistic because it was 4:34 p.m.
"Oh I can walk you." He said starting to walk again.
"I'm okay." I finished and gave him a quick hug.
On Monday, we had a brief dance rehearsal. Emily pulled me out of studio A just before we were about to start stretching.
"Okay," she said, her voice echoing in the long hall.
"Shh..." I silently said.
"The plan, it's not quite there." She said with a long pause.
"She's planning on framing Chloe into stealing Miss. Kate's money. I can't do that to that poor girl. She's done everything to be here. She's going to get kicked out. Amanda's more evil than we assumed, plus she's not 100% trustworthy of me," she quickly said.
"Em, try your best. Have some fun with it, because she's going to get slapped in the face with all this. Backstabbing, you know? She's a really bad person but, tough it out okay. Make it work." I said. It was actually something Emily would say to me. She gave me a surprised look and just walked back into the studio. I followed, but got stopped with James at the cubbies.
"Guess what?" He asked.
"What..?" I asked sounding really bored him.
"Chicken butt! Aha, you see West taught me that one." He said. I smiled.
Thalia's POV
It was a Wednesday at school. But we didn't have our actual subjects because it was "Club House Day," where we all get together and play games with our grade. That meant I could spend some time with Michelle and try to win her over and convince her to come back to dance. Which isn't easy at all.
"Michelle!" I yelled excitedly.
"Oh, hey Thal." She said completely surprised I had said something.
"So I was just-" I started but a microphone screeched and interrupted me.
"Welcome to Club House Day!" The principal almost yelled through his mic,
"First challenge or game, we will have a little friendly dance off," he said. Almost everyone started laughing and cheering.
"This'll be fun for the people that cannot dance." He chuckled and moved along.
This was perfect.
Riley's POV
"Hi James," I said as I walked into the Culture Shock.
"Greetings. I have decided to use my most best manners today," he said shaking my hand.
"Okay...splendid!" I joked and nudged him in the back.
"May I buy you a quick drink?" he asked pretending to fix his top hat that he didn't even have on.
"Sure, let me try the lime." I decided. He payed and handed me my bottle.
"May I hand you a little kiss m'lady?" he asked. I blushed. Was I really ready for this. I had flashes play in my mind. The kiss with Beth. The kiss with him. The confusion. Our duet.
He leaned in and pecked me a kiss on the cheek. It felt good to finally be with him. To finally be friends again. Or more.
