I stare at the text you sent and sigh.

My fingers hover over the keyboard uncertainly.

My phone dings as another text comes through.

I type out a quick reply and shove my phone in my pocket.

I head outside, get in my car, and start driving.

I take my time parking the car and heading over to where you said you'd be.

"Hey."

Your voice catches me by surprise and I spin around only to freeze when I see you.

"H-Hi. You look. . . wow." I struggle to keep my eyes on your face.

You smile and smooth out a wrinkle on your dress. "I want to tell you something. But not here."

You offer me your hand and I hesitate before taking it.

I can't stop staring at your hand in mine as you lead me through the trees and to a blanket spread out on the ground with rose petals scattered around and a basket of what I presumed to be food and drink.

I pull my hand out of yours. "W-What is all this?" I ask.

When you turn to face me the sunlight shining on your face makes your eyes sparkle and your hair. . .

I tear my eyes away, desperately trying to look anywhere but at you.

You frown slightly and walk closer. "Hey, look at me."

Your hand on my face is gentle as you tilt my head up to look at you. I reluctantly meet your eyes with my slightly teary ones. "Please don't tease me like this."

Tears start to fill your eyes too as you look at me. "I'm not teasing. I--I don't know how to tell you this."

Your thumb brushes a tear off my cheek before you continue. "I. . . want to be with you. I want you to be mine. You make me happier than I've ever been before. I know you'd never break my heart. I'm sorry for hurting you this long and making you wait while I figured out my feelings. And I understand if you don't want to be with me anymore but--"

"Of course I want to be with you. I told you I would wait as long as it took."

For a moment we simply stare at each other, knowing that words couldn't express our feelings at the moment.

I notice your eyes flickering down to my lips and back up to my eyes. "You can kiss me if you'd like. If I recall, you wanted to kiss me that night, right?"

You blush slightly. "A-Are you sure? I don't want to make you uncomfortable or--"

I cut you off by tugging you down slightly to softly press my lips to yours. You instantly respond and pull me close against you.

I pull away first. "Even better than I imagined."

Your blush darkens even more. "I'm so happy I asked you."

I smile and kiss your cheek happily. "Because now I can call you mine."

"Yes, yours," you whisper before kissing me again.

AN: To all of you who wanted another part, here it is! Sorry for the wait but hope you like it.
