Amelie had just one thing in mind and one thing only. That was getting rid of her husband's child, who was a product of his affair. She carefully dropped the poison into the queens wine when she wasn't looking. A crime that could very well end not only the bastards life but the queens as well, a crime that would very well cost her, her head. But she didn't care, she wouldn't allow this baby to live when hers had not. Revenge was a powerful but dangerous thing that wouldn't end well for anyone.
She watches as Madeleine drank her wine with a small smirk on her face. She had been very careful not to leave any evidence, and for the motive well no would ever know because it would ruin the Queen. She was a Narcisse after all, so her getting caught was very unlikely and that had eased her mind. Amelie thought of herself as nearly untouchable but clearly she would learn soon enough that she wasn't. And this would very well be her downfall. She looked around to make sure no one had suspected a thing before returning back to her chambers to get ready for the royal wedding. One that would end in a disaster no one was prepared for. One that would ruin the lives of many people. But never once did that cross her mind, and it never would until it was to late.
Amelie watched Madeleine finish her wine, thinking only about the betrayal of her husband with the Queen. The thought of him making love to her the only way he was supposed to make love to her. The thought of him whispering sweet I love you's I'm pure moments of passion. The thought of him having an affair with the Queen and the thought of the child they had made together made her blood boil. She almost hoped that the poison was enough to kill the Irish queen. To rid her of the betrayal her husband was most likely to continue with her still around. Was she just a joke to Charles? Did the promises he made to her mean nothing to him? Did he even love her the way he said he did, or was he just working on a plan to be rid of her so he could be with his cupcake. These thoughts made her sick to her stomach, but fuel the fire for revenge so much more. And soon the revenge would be hers, which served as a form of relief deep down inside her.
Madeleine finished the wine noticed a strange taste but didn't think anything of it, her nerves were to unraveled. She was getting ready to be married, one of the biggest days of her life, well besides her coronation. She slipped into her dress, it was beyond beautiful but she seen it as extra. Especially a wedding that was only for the two nations, not out of love. It never would be, though she hoped one day she could love Henri. He was going to be her king and her husband, she had to have some kind of love for him. But it would never be the love she had for Charles, that was an undying love. One that would never leave her due to the child she carried in her stomach. She finished getting ready walking out her chambers, unprepared for the future so soon to come, unprepared for the love of another man. But this was her fate and she had to accept it. Look at it as a blessing not a cure, though it seemed to be a little bit of both. But things would be okay, they had to be because she was Queen. A title that meant she had to rule with her head and not her heart.
Madeleine entered the chapel, meet by the faces of the royals and nobles. Along with her future husband and king. As she walked down the isle the room started to spin and she became very nauseous. She tried to keep her focus on Henry who was staring at her lovingly and the music became only the sound of a blur. She was almost there, she thought she could make it. But she was wrong, everything went black and the young queen was on the ground blood dripping from her legs.
