Love is a powerful force, which can make you do crazy things. Especially to keep the ones you hold dear. Madeleine looked up at the sleeping prince, he looked so at peace when he was asleep. It made her heart flutter, she would do anything for this boy. If need be she'd give her life. She found herself lost in staring at him that she didn't even realize he had said something, until he spoke again. "Cupcake, stop staring at me it's creepy" he mumbled sleepily. But she didn't hear a word he had said, she was to memorized by him, the boy that had been hers since they were children, the boy she was supposed to wed at just 14. "Cupcake." He mumbled again.
"Marry me." Was the only thing that came out her mouth. Not good morning sleepy head, just marry me. Which came out more like a statement, then a question. But she was dead serious she didn't regret the words that had come out of her mouth. Charles sat up looking at her, well more like studying her. "What?" was all he could say. Of course he wanted to marry her, but he didn't understand how she still wanted to marry him. She climbed on his lap wrapping her arms around him. "Marry me, Charles. Right at this very moment. And don't you dare ask me if I am sure this is what I want. Because I've always been sure. I love you more then life itself. So marry me, spend the rest of your life with me? And if you do I promise you my love for you will never go away. This is a forever kind of thing." She spoke seriously like a queen but every word was filled with love. Charles was absolutely speechless. "Yes!" He breathed. And then the next hour was a blur, before they knew it they were standing in front of the priest, in front of the King and Queen of France and his mother.
All the love and excitement between the two was present. Everyone there could tell that these two were each other's, other half. They both got on their knees eating the crumb of bread and taking a sip of wine. Madeleine was the first to sign, then soon followed by Charles. They slid the rings on each other's fingers, a sign that declared their unity for all to see. But in their hearts they declared themselves each other's long ago. Charles helped his wife up carefully pulling her into a passionate kiss, which she gladly returned. They were married, finally married which they could not contain the excitement. She was his, and he was hers. No longer having to hide it from the world. "I love you, wife." He whispered into her ear. "And I love you, husband." She whispered in return.
Madeleine bowed to her husband, something would never do for any other man. "My king." She stated seductively. Charles smirked then got down on both knees, kissing her hand. "My queen." He whispered just as seductively. If they could have ripped each other's clothes off in that moment they would have and soon enough they would. They decided on a celebration of marriage tomorrow, tonight they were just going to get through the consummation and spend the rest of the night together.
"It's time." Mary stated with Francis at her side. The anxiety filled both newly weds,of course they've laid together before. But this time they were expected to share a sacred moment in front of all the powerful people. They both just nodded being taken separate ways to be prepared.
Madeleine stood waiting on her consummation gown, Charles soon joined her. He walked over to her quickly, pulling her close. "I'll make it quick, just pretend it's just me and you." She nodded and in return he kissed her. She wrapped her arms around him returning each kiss he gives her. He carefully picked her up, placing her on the bed. Soon laying on top of her being careful not to crush her, slowly lifting her dress up. He looked up at her for approval, she just nodded. And then he started, Madeleine hid her face in the crook of his neck to keep from making sounds. Soon the door open Cathrine had pushed Henri in the same way Henry had done to Bash, leaving him no choice but to watch.
The young couple looked over to see what the interruption was, each locking eyes with the poor boy. Charles had kept going, trying to keep his promise to his wife about being quick. But some part of him liked that he was showing his brother that he was hers. Mary and Francis both felt for the young prince, both encouraging him to leave. "No, he should stay." Both Catherine and Charles said at the same time. Madeleine gasped in disbelief, digging her nails into his back to show that she didn't want him there. Charles just shook his head going slowly just to make it more painful for Henri to watch. Madeleine tried so hard not to let out any moans to make Henri anymore uncomfortable but she couldn't help it. Her husband had a talent in bed. She looked over a Henri just for a second to see if he was okay, and when they locked eyes, she couldn't look away seeing how heart broken he was. As soon as Charles was finished tormenting his brother, Henri escaped as quickly as he could. And so did the rest of the royals and nobles feeling the tension in the room.
Soon enough the King and Queen of Ireland were left alone. Madeleine in shame of what just had happened, and Charles relieved that he got the point across to his brother that Madeleine would never be his.
