Everything seemed perfect for Madeleine and Charles for awhile. There wedding tour was pure and utter bliss they even were lucky enough to gain an heir from it. But once they returned to court things seemed to turn to hell. It had been 6 months since they returned to court, a total of eight months since the wedding tour. Making the young queen about seven and a half to about eight months pregnant. Madeleine looked around trying to spot her husband, but to not to her surprise she didn't find him or the farm girl. She could feel herself grow angrier by the minute and as the anger grew so did the pain in her stomach. How could he miss the celebration for their child. At first she thought he had brought Nicole back to reward her and her family for their much needed hospitality, but when she stayed she knew things were wrong. They fancied each other and the longer she stayed the more they began to fancy each other and the more cold and distance he got with his wife. She quickly looked around again spotting him, he was walking away with blood on his face. This sparked terror and worry in her, so she followed him.
When she caught up to him she grabbed his arm making him face her. "Charles! Where on earth have you been?! Why is there blood on your face?! Are you hurt?! Did you totally forget bout the celebration for our heir?! Or we're you to busy with her to care about humiliating me?! I won't stand for any more of it! Answer me damn you!" She shouted pushing him. Charles in return grabbed her arms pushing her violently to the ground. "I am king! Kings do not answer to their queens! And I'll be damned if you think I am." Madeleine glared at her husband for the first time entirely filled with hate as she stood up.
"You are King because I made you King! Be sure to remember that Charles Valois! You will not talk to me like that! And don't you ever lay your hands on me again!" She shouts slapping him. "Take your whore and get out of my castle, take your whore and get out of my country! Take her and get out of my sight! All the love I have for you is now replaced with hate! I should have married Henri! He is a better man then you will eve be! I hate you! I hate you so damn much! You broke my heart and my soul! I wish I never married you!" Charles just stood there shocked realizing all the pain he was putting her through for the first time. But quickly was distracted by her gasp in pain and the puddle of water and blood that hit the floor. "Cupcake.. your ble..." he was quickly cut off. " I said get out Charles, I don't need or want your pity and I definitely don't want you here!" She groaned in pain again quickly falling to her knees. Charles ran over quickly picking her up. " I will leave as soon as I know that you and our heir is safe." He stated calmly carrying her to their chambers as he called for the midwife and physician. "Oh don't act like you care now, you'd proudly let us die so that you could take my country and run it with your whore!" All he could do was stare at her with shock, did she really believe that he doesn't love her and wants to give her life to Nicole. Another groan slipped her mouth as she clutched her stomach bringing his attention back on her. "The baby, the baby is coming." She stated panicking as she closed her eyes.
Now she was going in and out of consciousness, she knew that she may not survive this. Both were filled with worry of her and the child's survival. Charles couldn't let her go with her thinking that he didn't love her. Because that was far from the truth, he loved her more than anything in the world. He quickly knelt beside her, grabbing her hand softly. "Madeleine Victoria Valois, I love you,I love you so damn much! I will always love you! You are my life! I know I've made mistakes, I know I've hurt you and have been unfaithful. But I promise you, that all stops now and I will be a better husband and father. Just please, please don't leave me. I love you! I love you and only you!"he spoke softly hoping she could hear. And with that he was rushed out the room, leaving his wife and child into the strangers hands. He was anxiously filled with so much worry and so much regret, not knowing if his wife and queen would live or die.
