Madeleine left the celebration early to sneak into Charles room. She had to tell him how she felt before she wed his brother. She sat on the bed patiently waiting, anxiously slowly building up. She got up as he entered, her nerves taking over her whole body. She couldn't help pace back and forth. "Cupcake, is something wrong, are you hurt?" fear present in his voice as he ran over to her. She shook her head letting him no everything was fine. "Charles, I don't want to marry Henri. I can't, not when..." she looks at him seriously with vulnerability present in her voice. "When My heart belongs to you, and I know that this changes nothing. But I needed to tell you, I needed to tell you I loved you before I never got the chance. I love you. " Charles stayed silent for a moment, everything she said had made him speechless.
He just looked at her admiring all of her beauty replaying her words in his mind. She loved him, she loved him just as much as he loved her. It would be the greatest feeling in the world, but instead it was a nightmare. They were in love and couldn't be together. That was a fate worse than death, they had to watch each other be loved by another for the rest of their lives. He couldn't let her ruin her reign because of this love, he had to do something to protect. But could he, could he walk away? Was he strong enough too? Slowly he walked over laying his hand on her face. "I'm in love with you too. I love you and I will for the rest of my life." He looks at her seriously. "But us, we can never happen. We will never happen. I will not be the reason to the end of your reign, or the reason you possibly loose your head. I love you to much for that." the hurt in his voice was evident but he meant every word he had said. The look Madeleine gave him was enough to shatter his heart. "But I don't think I can live a life without being with you." she said with pain clear in her voice and the tears present in her eyes. Charles couldn't even look at her, he hated seeing her hurt. He hated being the one to hurt her. "You have to cupcake. You will marry Henri, and you will live a long and happy reign. He will cherish the ground you walk on. And I...I will always be there as your friend." He couldn't even believe he was saying this, he didn't want her to marry Henri, he wanted to be her husband, her king. But now that was impossible, there was no way out of his marriage and he blamed Francis for that.
"Then we can't be around each other. We cannot hang out and we cannot be friends. I'll be Queen Madeleine and you'll be prince Charles." The formal tone that was present in the young queen was enough to cause anyone to tremble. "Goodnight Prince Charles." Was the last thing Madeleine had said as she headed for the door. If Charles was damned for eternity no would be the moment. He wasn't going to let her walk away. Not now, not ever. He followed her carefully turning her pushing her against the door. He had taken her by surprise, hell he even taken himself by surprise. "Wh..." her words were cut off by a passionate kiss. A kiss that left them both trying to catch their breath. They looked at each other not breaking their eye contact. "Nobody and I mean nobody can know about this." He stated pulling away putting distant between the two. Madeleine was not excepting that, she nodding pulling him into her arms kissing him again. If this was wrong, she didn't want to be right. Charles looked at her. "We can do this, but this can be dangerous. If we are caught then it could end in death." He looked her in the eyes looking for any sign that she would say yes. "Then we won't get caught." She said with a smirk giving him a soft kiss. Those five words were all he needed to hear.
In this moment it was them and only them. No one else or nothing else mattered. He needed her all of her, and she had returned the same neediness. Charles kissed her pulling so she was pressed right up against him. The kiss didn't break as she lead him over to the bed. Before they both knew it they were both undressed and on the bed kissing each other like they were never going to see each other again. Charles made sure to show every Inch of her body love making her moan softly with pleasure. The sound excited him. Of course he had made love to a woman before, but this time it was different. He was madly in love with the Irish Queen. He made he way back up to her lips kissing her preparing himself to enter her. She looked up at him with pure love and desire. "Be gentle." She whispered so sweetly kissing him. He smiled down at her. "Always my love." And with that he entered her earning a gasp, along with a slight moan. He slowly moved inside her looking her in the eyes to make sure she was okay. She moaned softly, giving him a nod of reinsurance. The pain was minimum, and she definitely didn't want him to stop. "Faster" she moaned and he happily obeyed. The servants would sure talk about what was going on in that room the next day. The moans and groans were so loudly echoing through the room. Charles kept going that night until he had filled his queens every desire. Soon they were laying in each other's arms getting lost in each other's eyes. The problems of the real world leaving them for now. For that moment only everything was perfect.
