Chapter 4 - Re:Who is a Liar (Deadly Life)

Himiko Yumeno: "...Maki...?"

Nikei Yomiuri: "...The hell?"

Makoto Naegi: "No...not again..."

Kazuichi Soda: "...gh!"

Himiko Yumeno: "UWAAAAAAH! NOOOOOO!"

I noticed Makoto immediately pull her into a hug, and she wrapped her arms around him while continuing to sob her heart out.

Yasuhiro Hagakure: "Holy shit, dude! This isn't good at all!"

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu: "Understatement of the year, asshole!"

Hajime Hinata: "How did this happen?!"

Monokuma: "The trial room got destroyed, that's what happened! Look at my beautiful trial room!"

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu: "Nobody gives a shit about the trial room, bastard! How the fuck did Maki get involved?!"

Nikei Yomiuri: "Another question that should be considered is where we're going to hold the class trial to find her murderer."

Yasuhiro Hagakure: "Are we just going to stand in a circle like a bunch of jackasses? I mean, I don't really mind, it's just gonna look really awkward-"

Monokuma: "No, of course not! The trial ground is supposed to look sophisticated! Ugh, I guess I'll have to bring it out early."

Akane Owari: "Bring what out early? Were you saving something for later?"

Monokuma: "Do you ever shut up and listen? Yes, I was saving this kickass trial room for the final trial, but...gahhh! I'll call you guys to the gym after your investigation period. But first, here's the Monokuma File! Do your best this time, you'll need it!"

Nikei Yomiuri: "I'll take that. But you seem more frustrated than usual. My analysis power is better than yours, you can't hide it. If you actually watched the cameras, then you wouldn't even need to hesitate to see who died."

Monokuma: "Okay, everyone! Do your best to find out the culprit this time!"

Nikei Yomiuri: "Did you have to do a headcount? Hey, answer my question!" 

To my frustration, Monokuma left the area without answering me. Monokuma needed to actually do a headcount to see that Maki had died, does that mean that he couldn't see what happened? Or was the mastermind panicked? Whatever the answer was, it was going to suck.

Kazuichi Soda: "*sigh* Guess we gotta investigate again."

Himiko Yumeno: "*sniff* M-Maki...you said you wouldn't go... You said...you'd protect me... *sob*"

I looked over at the tiny magician and sighed. Kazuichi was right, no matter how big of a loss this was. Maki's stealth skills would've been incredibly useful had we actually came up with a plan, but it was too late for that now. After this, we just have to fight for our lives. It's all we can do, I'd rather not end up in my own grave right now.

Akane Owari: "So, whoever did this sure did a number on the area. I didn't think we had explosives."

Nikei Yomiuri: "We don't, but one could be fashioned with crude materials. Now shut it and start investigating."

I grumbled to myself and turned on the tablet with the Monokuma File. Time to see how today's victim died horribly this time.

The victim is Maki Harukawa, the Ultimate Assassin. The victim's body was discovered in the class trial grounds below the school. The estimated time of death was 10:55am. Due to destruction of the body, the cause of death and any other injuries are unknown.
