Chapter 6 - Broken Happiness Is Still Happiness (Class Trial, Part 2)

*CLASS TRIAL: REOPEN*

Makoto Naegi: "Hold on a second. You said that you wanted to 'announce' this game to the world to see if humanity would fall or not? But how are you planning to do that when there's no live broadcast going on?"

Mikado Sannoji: (Right, how would the killing game be shown in the first place?)

Data Room Computer

Mikado Sannoji: "I think it might have something to do with the recordings on the computer in the data processing room."

Monaca Towa: "You're exactly right, meow! Monaca used a small AI she made in order to splice the footage and arrange it to show certain people at different angles, or show an area with the most people at the given moment, and even alternate shots! Isn't it amazing?"

Himiko Yumeno: "So, you're gonna show the compilation of clips to the world, and that's how you're gonna send it into despair?"

Monaca Towa: "Aw, straight to the point? Jeez, you're no fun at all! But yeah, that's what I'm planning on doing if things go to plan. I don't need to worry about what's gonna happen next if that's the case, but I'll have fun laughing at the despair!"

Mikado Sannoji: "Pfft, I'd have though you'd have more fun playing Webkinz on that data room computer. It was you that installed it, right?"

Monaca Towa: "So?! Monaca can have a childish interest sometimes, you damn tool! Are you jealous because the only childhood you ever got was a killing game?!"

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu: "Alright, alright, enough. I'm gonna stop this bitch fit before it escalates. We all know Monaca's plan now, right? One of you has to do a summary of the case and explain her plan from the beginning as a recap. Makoto, Mikado?"

Mikado Sannoji: "I'll do it, I have a better memory as an AI."

Makoto Naegi: "Are you sure? I can do it if-"

Mikado Sannoji: "Shut up, I'll handle this myself. I've handled this role most of the time, right? I just need to do it one more time."

Makoto Naegi: "Alright, alright, if you insist."

Monaca Towa: "Pfft, hahaha!"

Yasuhiro Hagakure: "Er, I think you should stay out of this one."

*CLOSING ARGUMENT*

Mikado Sannoji: "This killing game began years before it actually happened, when the mastermind manage to catch wind of the plot to revive Master Utsuro from their van in space. They looked deeper and learned that not only were the Symbols of Hope for the Next Generation were going to be kidnapped and that both major foundations were internally corrupt, but the Artificial Divine Luck mixed with the real Divine Luck was going to be revived into Akane Taira's braindead body."

Mikado Sannoji: "With these discoveries in mind, they started to gain interest in getting their hands on the Divine Luck, though not so they could get rich or anything like that. They had been taught the ideals of both hope and despair by Junko Enoshima and their servant, so they wanted to find out for themselves if hope or despair was stronger. To test this, they planned to start a war between the Future Foundation and the Kisaragi Foundation, then broadcast the recording of the killing game survivors murdering each other. Without the Symbols of Hope alive, they wanted to see if the world would topple back into despair or not."

Mikado Sannoji: "To start, they first needed to intercept the Divine Luck from my killing game. To do that, they hired Syobai Hashimoto, a broker and a double agent hired for both myself and Tsurugi Kinjo at the same time. They told him to wait until my killing game was over before bringing the body of Akane Taira to them, as they planned to intercept the next one to enter her body to kidnap them for the killing game. And so, Mr. Hashimoto double crossed me yet again."
