“Wow” Bailey exclaimed at the assortment of dresses on the rack. She moved closer.

Lexie could only stare at them. The dresses were looking so beautiful and expensive. She couldn’t remember the last time she had indulged in those kinds of things. She sighed and went to pull Bailey from one of the racks that she had attached herself to. “What are you doing, B?”

Bailey smiled. “Just admiring it. I am so excited” she clapped and squealed in excitement. She glanced around and motioned a clerk to come over.

    “Hello, ma’am” The clerk greeted.

“Hey. So, uhm… we are looking for a sexy dress for my babe here.”

The clerk smiled. “We definitely have that here. Please follow me”

Bailey held a hand up to stop her. “I mean, a very sexy dress”

The clerk nodded again and with a meaningful look at the embarrassed Lexie, smiled. “Definitely. Please come with me”.

They followed the clerk up another level of stairs to an entirely different room of sexy and obviously expensive dresses.

“Woah!” Bailey and Lexie exclaimed at the same time. They were so beautiful and sophisticated. She moved forward and began to inspect the clothes. She looked over to Lexie who was still moping around.
“Lexie, check out the dresses and be a great a sport about it”

Lexie raised her hands in mock salute and walked around the racks. There were a lot of beautiful dresses. It was-

“Lexie! You’ve got to try this one out.” Bailey brought a long red dress that had a daring split up the slide.

“I should wear this? It’s not possible, B”

Bailey rolled her eyes. “Just try it on.” She pushed Lexie into one of the dressing rooms and continued to peruse the stacks.

Lexie sighed in the privacy of the dressing room and tried on the dress. She gasped as she looked in the mirror. The dress was so daring. She began to take it off before Bailey saw her in it. No such luck! She had already drawn the curtain aside and was now staring at Lexie.

“Fuck! You’re tots wearing this to the party. Gonna have their pants dropping to the floor” Bailey squealed like a sixteen-year old teenager.

Lexie sighed as Bailey called to the attendant and started to coo her excitement. She turned and her eyes landed on a royal blue dress. It was gorgeous and had a definitely sexy split. She traced a finger over the material. It was so beautiful but she couldn’t wear something as sexy as this. It just-

“OMG! This is perfect” Bailey’s squeal jarred Lexie from her thoughts.

“It’s beautiful but I don’t think I can wear this.”

Bailey sighed. “Lexie, I absolutely love you and I want what’s best for you. You can’t go to a huge party like that and not look so damn good.” She put a hand on Lexie’s shoulder. “Just try it on. If you don’t like it then we’ll look for something else.”

Lexie smiled and nodded. She took the dress and went into the dressing room.

“Although, I know you love it” Bailey called after her friend.

In the privacy of the room, she wore the dress. Without even glancing at the mirror in the dressing-room, she left the room. She wanted Bailey to see her first.

Bailey smiled widely as she saw Lexie. She was so damn beautiful and the dress was as if it was made just for her. She felt tears spring to her eyes.

Lexie stood there, nervous. “Do you like it?”

“What?” Bailey sniffed. “I love it. Lex, you look so beautiful.”

    Lexie smiled. “Really?”

“Of course.” Bailey moved to her and turned Lexie to face the mirror. “Just look at you”

Lexie grinned. “Thanks, B. I like it too” she turned and hugged her best-friend. “Stop. You are going to make me cry too.”

Bailey fished out a tissue from her bag and wiped her eyes. She called for the attendant. “We will have this one.”

“Definitely.” The attendant left to take care of the purchase.

                                     -------------------

“Hold on, Lex” Bailey said as she saw a dress she liked. “Lemma try that one out”

    “Sure. I’ll wait down there”
Lexie brushed a hand through her hair and noticed that her bracelet was gone. It must have fallen down in the dressing-room. Thank God she noticed on time. She ran back to the dressing-room. She found the bracelet on a table and quickly clasped it on her wrist. She was about to leave the room when two voices stopped her in her tracks.

“What are you going to do about it?” One of the women asked.

“I’m not sure and by the way I don’t think I really believe Brittany. She has always been a big bitch and she may just be trying to get on my nerves as always.”

“Andrea, maybe you should still question him or something. You never know”

“It’s fine. I will but I don’t want her to mess with my relationship. You know how he is. He may get mad that I questioned him like that.” The woman named Andrea replied.

“Alright. I guess so… Oh! Come on… let’s check out those dresses. I sure love that one.” They both squealed and passed by the room Lexie was in… no doubt headed for the dresses of their choice.

Lexie sighed in relief and quickly went to wait for Bailey.

“Where’ve you been? I was worried you got lost or something” Bailey said.

Lexie laughed. “I’m not a baby. Come on, let’s go. I am hungry. I can take care of myself.” I hope so.

A/N: Finally! I managed to scale a little wall of writer’s block… it was very little out of the pile but what can I say… life’s good. Hmm… I wonder what Andrea is supposed to ask Luke? I can’t wait for Lexie to show herself at the party!! So, don’t forget to vote, comment, share.
