People mingled, their expensive dresses making contact with each other, expensive perfume floated in the air, each trying to prove its value more than the other, sophisticated and fake laughter was heard.
In the midst of all these stood Lexie, her heart threatening to burst and legs that failed to move as she was mesmerized by the event. It was so classy… she looked down at her outfit and was glad that she had let Bailey do her make-up and take her shopping.
Self-conscious, she took a quick glance and forced her legs to move. She had to find where the rest of her colleagues were. She pushed her way through the crowd and fortunately sighted one of her colleagues.
In a hurry to get to her, she stepped on a glistening shoe that obviously looked so damn expensive.
“I’m so sorry-” she looked up and….
