Badly Jinxed

"Silver wake up!" Espio shook me out of my sleep.
"What?! Where is he?! Who? Huh, what time is it?" I flailed about being pulled out from my dream. It'd been two days since the carnival and things were smooth and I showed no signs of fading, nor did my dreams stop consisting of peace and Blaze.
"Amy is missing!" He answered none of my startled questions but stuck me with the news.
"M-missing!? Where!?"
"How should I know, I just got the repot from Vector. He stayed up late last night and while filing paper work he was listening to the police scanner, there was an order to check a break and entering of an apartment, the address was Amy's and she's been untraceable. Friends, cellphone, nothing we have no lead on her where about's. It's 4:30 in the morning but we have to put in to this one." He quickly explained as I got out from the bed and jumped in my boots rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

Of course the news spread like wild fire and Sonic got wind of it. He and Tails had quickly fled to Eggman's base to come to the rescue only we had found out to great surprise after searching his place far and wide high and low there was no trace of her, nor did he admit to seeing her at all. Which left us all lost on what to do. My mind was racing like a car, my thought turning in my head like train wheels. The endless scenarios of the 'what if' started to pile and clutter my consciousness. What if she's being hurt, and used, what if she's scared and lost, what if this person who had taken her was Mephiles that some how managed to exist and escape in this time zone, he too knowing that Amy had been needed to bring me into this world and so he was going to eliminate her!!?!

"Silver are you alright?" Charmy's loud voice broke through the concentration.
"I-I can't... I can't loose my mom.." The last words were unfamiliar yet came at will to my lips.
"It's okay we'll find her!" Vector's heavy hand came down on my shoulder. But just then there was a knock at the door. Espio hesitantly answered opening the door up to Shadow.

"Okay Sonic asked if I had seen Amy while after disclosing she'd gone missing. What do you guys have on the situation?" He asked shuffling through papers on the table Vector had been sorting through.

"Hey get out of that!" Vector grumbled pushing him away, "We hadn't got anything we tried asking anyone she usually come into contact with, nothing. A phone, nada. Eggman actually came clean and didn't have her either. We have nothing."

"Have you checked her apartment? Analyzed everything, looked for evidence?"
"Well, no but.... No one called us in on the investigation if the police hadn't already gotten to it, besides they wouldn't let us search anyway." Vector straighter the papers again.

"You know why? Cause you're so damn cheap you won't get a license or get registered as an agency! And you need to be called in when its a personal friend because it's always about the money!?" Shadow didn't seem like his patient self instead of keeping his surface calm his quills begin to stick up in different ways and he slammed his fist on the table and he was so tempted, I could see it in his eyes that he wanted to throw all the paper from the table on to the floor, but he was able to control himself to the point of keeping himself from lashing out.
"That's not it at all Shadow." Vector assured, "We're doing all we can with what we have and if YOU can get us clearance to search her place for clues and we get a lead then we'll do it with out the thought of one möbian dollar!"
"Consider it done, I want you all there now!" He straightened up. Like a kid throwing a fit and then finally getting his way he's back to normal. ...do I do that sometimes?? I can't help feeling like I kinda do. Blaze must have had her hands full while dealing with me, I'm sorry Blaze!

Shadow told us to go directly to Amy's place and wait for him there, so we packed a bag of... Gadgets and gizmos, no idea what they were; I'm not a detective myself, but we left and went to Amy's apartment on the third floor. However when we arrived police had blocked the area off and wouldn't let us through. That is until Shadow showed up taking full charge of the situation. He flashed out a badge and stated his position with the GUN force and before he could make heads or tails of an appropriate reaction from the man in charge began to order everyone around.
