We met the search team back at the village, unfortunately everyone had kept to themselves, Sonic and Mr.Cho came back with nary a name of anyone that lived here no one answered their doors. However Tails and Charmy hit the jack pot of a place where everything was cleared out and nothing but ashes remained, within the dark ashes was the shape of a drawn fire and in the middle of the picture stares going deep under ground. Espio and Vector too have spotted a shack in the wild looking to be where someone slept and hid away from everyone.

"Charmy, Tails take us to that pile of ashes." Shadow demanded.

"Silver give us a little light." Espio said as we entered the winding tunnel of stairs going under ground. My hands lit up holding them out in front of me.

"Thanks.. Careful everyone there're some steps missing.." He led the way down. The voice that only Shadow and I heard became louder only it didn't say any words it was only static.
"Does anyone else hear that?" I asked talking a little louder than supposed too.
"Sshh! Not so loud. I only hear a hum in the air." Cector answered.
"No I hear a buzzing noise." Sonic said.
"That's me sorry..." Charmy dropped to his feet.
"Oh." Sonic chuckled a little.
"No wonder some people go insane..." Shadow grumbled trying to close his ears, "that noise is too much..."
"What is it?" Espio asked.
"It was a voice, now it's just a high level of squeaky static it feels like electricity is stabbing it's way through my head!" His quills were raised as he spoke through grit teeth.
"I think I hear a little something too." Tails added, "it isn't static it's like a growling noise."
"What if the more powerful you are the louder you hear it." Charmy suggested.
"You could be on to something there my friend. Powerful in mind set, Espio is smart and only hears a lot hum. Tails is very smart and hears something of a growl, Silver is strong enough to move things with his mind, and he hears the static, and Shadow.. Well he's the governments secret weapon." Cho pointed out the pattern, "the closer we get the louder it will be heard."
"Shut up!" Shadow growled trying to keep his voice down, "don't call me that." He pushed past us going down the stairs quicker leaping over the missing spaces.
"Shadow!!" Espio hissed, "waaait!!" Now we hurried down after him. There was dim light fixture dug into the dirt with a big cage full of girls!

"Get them down!" Sonic already searched for away to get them free.
"Wait wait," Espio stopped him, "they're all dazed. Like drugged to keep them slow and sluggish.."

"Useless." The voice boomed, "all of them are useless! I tell this fool to bring me the girl and he brings these useless floozies!"
"Mephiles?" I called he sounded so close as if just around the corner.
"No you weed headed rat! I only take on of what you're most afraid of. But you boy, you have a future with your fear he'll come back no matter what you do! It's no use! Everyone dies!"
This voice is insanity it's self... It made me angry I wanted to find it and beat it in the worst way I could think of, only I couldn't think anything at the moment due to the loud noises.

"Sonic if we get those girls out now they'll only slow us down, we won't know what to do with all of them or where to put them." Espio explained.
"Shadow, a-are you okay." Charmy asked standing in front of him.
But he didn't answer his back pressed against the wall and his eyes closed he almost looked like he was trying to sleep, at a time like this!?!

"Iaodi!" Cho called, "Iaodi, it's me; your brother!"

"What!? What is this!?" The voice of insanity rumbled, "How can you push me out!? No! But you have fear hedgehog!"

"Shadow where are you-" Charmy quickly stepped out of the way while Shadow jolted up from the wall his eyes now open.

"Your brother is no longer alive." He suddenly spoke, "he had died a long time ago, suicide after he finished digging this under ground tunnel. But what ever's down here has taken something and let it use his body as a vessel to carry out it's work."
